Not a recommendation but more of a recent Netflix bugbear. More and more I seem to be clicking on the down arrow for more info on a film and there is nothing - not even a one liner. So I have to browse with Wiki open as well just to see what the film is about.

The UI is different for every device. Which is equally frustrating.

Chris Rock - Selective Outrage

New stand up show from Chris.

I was looking forward to this, however most of it fell a bit flat to me.

There was a few of decent jokes/observations but nothing that made me laugh out loud.

I don't know if I've been spoiled by the quality of Dave Chappelle's stand up specials or Rock has lost his touch compared to his earlier work.

There was a pretty dark joke about abortion which got more unfunny as it went on.

He finishes with his take on the Will Smith slap, which was decent but felt like he could have done much more with.

6/10

The MH370 program is a load of conspiracy theorist claptrap.

1.5/10.

Shame as its a really interesting and intriguing story on it's own.

I know people do climb these towers and similar ridiculously high man-made or natural challenges, but to the normal guy, why the hell would you!
When I joined the Royal Navy at 15 we spent a year at HMS Ganges, the mast is 43 metres high, apart from having to climb it once just after we joined, we often climbed up the rigging on Sundays for fun, guess some just like climbing things higher.

Smashing view from the top as well.

That mast barely looks 25m high.

There's no way that tree his taller than 5 or 6m.

Couldn't watch yesterday on my virgin box, says no live streaming or something? Thought it was uploaded to their servers like the rest of their stuff, or is it (somehow) livestreamed (can't see how?) - and will be uploaded "properly" at a later date?

Oh - scratch that, it's working now rolleyes

Ended up watching Tom Segura "Disgraceful" - which was pretty average

I think it was their first ever live stand up event on Monday, I'm not sure if it went out here live as well though.
They uploaded it to watch anytime yesterday, although it did say it was edited now, and I think I read he made a couple of bloopers with the jokes.

Does fall get better after that first cam placement he just butchered.

Surely they'd have a climbing consultant on a film like this or is it supposed to be a parody?

They don't use cams after that. No point when you only have a 50ft rope.

That opening scene is a MacGuffin.

Quite enjoyed Black Sea - once I got over the shock of Jude Law's Scottish accent, he played the role well I thought.

Mindless fun, but the ancient sub made up for it

It's utterly terrible but is so bad it's actually compelling to watch.

Why when you're on a 500m mast would you hold your phone in the air for better reception or why would you tourniquet a wound that's clearly not bleeding.

I'm not even commenting the ability to bent arm lift someone 5ft in the air.

I assume it's from the same stable as Sharnado and Cocaine Bear.

I first came across Segura from his podcasts (Two bears one cave/Your mums house) and I find him hilarious on those, but same as you I found his stand-up bang average. Weird.

The woman screenshotting clouds in the South China Sea was the best.

She's definitely been abducted by aliens.

Agree, had high hopes for this but it seemed to be fame hungry people trying to put an angle on it. I really felt for the families especially the French chap who lost his kids and wife.
There just seems too many variables on what could of happened. I do agree that someone somewhere knows what happened but cant say as it involves secret radar/satellites that they dont want other countries to know about.

Luther : The Fallen Sun

I have never seen any of the Luther series so no idea whether it’s good compared to those but…

I enjoyed it. Quite Bondlike in set pieces and cinematography.
Andy serkis hamming it up as the baddy stayed JUST on the right side of silly for me although did stray into dodgy quiz show presenter near the end.

Just over 2hrs long but kept me away from my phone.

I have seen the series, which got steadily worse after series 3.

Just finished this. As a stand-alone I suppose I can see why people may enjoy it.

I thought it was dogst.

Horses for courses I suppose.

I suspect this may be deserving of it's own thread.

Was expecting some Americanised rehash. As as standalone, it was awesome. As a continuance of the series, it worked brilliantly.

One of the best UK drama's there's been, I think.

Been watching "Next in fashion" with SWMBO and daughter.

They're enjoying the clothes. I'm trying to spot the token heterosexual.
