I see there was a bit in the news today about how the show has asked to be removed from some BAFTA TV categories this year following one of their longer term writers being found guility of abusive / coercive behaviour and strangling a partner after a falling out, and his sacking from the show.

If that wasn't bad enough, it turns out he was one of the lead writers for a number of the Tom / Belle abuse episodes including involvement in the court ones too.

April was brilliant tonight in such a moving scene of her putting her lost baby's ashes in the stream.

Will Steph's life ever be the same after the revelation of her biological father?! It was all played a little too fast-forward, but ultimately they acted it really well IMO.

Suzy and Mary - who'd have thought it? No wonder 'Ness is so upset.....!

Too obvious for it to be billy - far more likely to be some long lost relative seeking revenge for something as that's normally how the writers seem to introduce new cast. Billy was who Manpreet tried it on with after she broke up with Charles when he was her personal trainer. There was a bit of flirting but he cut it off after she tried kissing him. Given that they're showing Dawn being distant to Billy due to chasing Joe, Billy has likely turned to Manpreet's OF account for a bit of light relief.

There's a fair bit of discussion on the usual soap forums / pages that Dylan will likely turn out to be a lovechild of a long forgotten former Dingle that left 2 or 3 decades ago - similar to how they brought in Vinnie's birth mum last year.
