Rimming perhaps? Second video might be of help.
Damn it, I've been had.

Second video is probably just Google letting me know they know the girl I was seeing recently did smell a bit funky.

IMHO the bigger (negative) change for all sorts of online advertising has been the revised privacy policies and settings implemented by Apple.

All online advertising tries to target - be that a car company, the washing machine soap brand or your fave Choober. It’s orders of magnitude more difficult to reach and retain audiences now. Like and subscribe is more important to them than ever.
The apple changes have definitely changed online marketing, but surely that makes things BETTER for specific youtubers.

Brands now can't follow customers around the web and target them based on something they saw previously. Now if a brand wants to target automotive enthusiasts, it can't buy the data online, so it will have to go to logical sources - places like youtube channels and websites in that vertical.

Not so sure.

YT can only target you if your privacy settings allow or, more specifically, if you like or subscribe to a channel.

In the past, IME, many YouTube channels were also using platforms like Facebook to find new viewers. That's now much harder to do.

Does the new laws also block advertisers saying "hey, run these adverts on all your channels marked as automotive" regardless on who the viewer is?

Kind of like advertising in Auto Express magazine, you don't actually know who's reading it, but it's a fair assumption that it's going to be someone interested in cars.

No that isn't stopped.

But say you have an individual into car, but also cookery. Unless YouTube knows that, it's near impossible for them to cross-promote content.

Just come across a video of Manny khoshbin and taking his Chiron to the "new house"

How much money does this guy have to have a house like that ??

Not his new house, I drive past that building most days on the 405. It used to be owned by a mega church / God TV channel and is a very very public building. He lives in a very secure gated community called Pelican Hill. It will be his office / car store (which I'm also surprised about given the value of the cars and the public nature of the building.)

Interesting to see Mat Watson/Carwow doing videos on household appliances for his mother now. Needs to diversify, I guess.

For the first few hours the video was up, they showed the car but viewing numbers were low. I see they have blocked it out on the thumbnail now and put the magic ?? on it!

<conspiracy theory>people weren't that interested until you had to click to see what it was<conspiracy theory> laugh

Will that really make much difference though? If people saw the thumbnail and weren't interested, hiding the thumbnail may get more clicks to the video but surely people will just watch the first few seconds, see what it is and still not be interested? Watch time will still be super low. I tend to around deliberately vague video titles/thumbnails, almost out of spite laugh

No idea, to be honest, but it was interesting they changed it - must have been for some reason. I deliberately avoid click bait video thumbnails or where a video is 10:04 and you just know it's been padded out to hit the 10 min mark.

The teardown on the Alpina by M539 is pretty impressive given he's an enthusiast turned mechanic. Such a great methodical approach.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMfC4LLMJgM

Can't wait to see him work on Misha's E34 M5.

I've been watching a few Evil GT videos lately and like how down to earth they are. I'm not really into moderns but it'll be good to see what they do with the E46 M3. I'd considered viewing that car myself and seeing how much work it needs I'm glad I passed.

Sreten of M539 is excellent viewing and I echo your comments as that was a serious strip down.

I wonder if a side benefit of filming is that he can watch the video back to see what order everything goes back together in.

Also no ego which is nice as he's joined the relevant Facewaste group for that engine and has asked a couple of questions in relation to this build.

My favourite channel now, closely followed by Harry.

Great racing again from Dan, those MR2s look brilliant, can take a beating!

I love this channel, it's the best racing I've seen on yt, and it's always funny and chilled in the way it's filmed.

Brilliant stuff.

I don't know how he finds the time to do the amount of research he does. The E21 was a great build to watch and I learned a fair bit about the old injection.
