Automotive Vloggers (Vol. 5)
Discussion
Idiocracy incarnate, people are getting dumber they want dumb s
t. Gen pop, think Mrs Brown fans, want easy to consume tripe, that doesn't need the act of thinking, and they can guffaw in glee. Why so many car spotters that are now youtube stars, it isn't personality?
In other news Harry Metcalfe's latest video is interesting in Jag V12 lore, the builder has a very nice motor.

Whistlin' Diesel is 'doing numbers' with his latest vid, 1.4M views in 9 hours is pretty good going by any standard. The Tesla/EV fan boys won't like it.
Does huge numbers, but I can't get my head around wrecking perfectly decent cars for the sake of views, whether that's a Tesla or a Ferrari.Turning world or not, it just seems silly and wasteful.
Has any one watched any of those audit vids. DJ & PJ audits? They’re crazy .

The Whistlin' Diesel stuff is just an automotive variation of a whole set of successful YouTube channels. They all have similar types fronting them (individually or in groups), all do outrageous/pointlessly expensive stunts, and all appeal to a similar adolescent male audience.
It's all the same trash and it all makes money.
Though the real trick is milking your moron audience into buying a crappy overpriced sports drink...

Basically just jackass. The Jackass hire car was funny, Whistlin diesel just does moronic stuff. Sued by Ferrari for trashing a car lol, his fans are idiots. Mrs Brown laughs. It's all the same trash and it all makes money.

But on the flip side these vloggers who get a expensive supercars and just point at features like a dead dog, are just as bad.

The genre I avoid at all costs.I can't understand how little imagination you'd need to have to find interest in someone buying and pointing at the latest unaffordable car.

I thought I saw on Reddit that he get a cease and desist letter from Ferrari?
Cease and desist from what? Taking the car he's bought and using it in a legal (if distasteful) way? I'd use the letter as toilet paper and send it back. Unless (and I'm almost 100% sure you don't) you have to sign an agreement upon purchase that says you will use it in a way that Ferrari agree to.

He might be free to destroy the car but they can still make his life difficult if they feel like it.

I saw on TikTok last night several people posting up pictures of DJ Audits house & his face. Apparently he's not best pleased about it! Funny that... https://youtu.be/Nh3OoQ64Nl8

Seems like time well spent annoying someone like that with their own games.

I'm not saying they legally have a leg to stand on, but they've been known to be aUnless (and I'm almost 100% sure you don't) you have to sign an agreement upon purchase that says you will use it in a way that Ferrari agree to.

Do they have a right to do it though... probably not.
I wonder if when you buy a brand new Ferrari is there some kind of brand protection language buried in the T+Cs you sign at the dealership?
Wouldn't apply to used cars of course.
