It kind of amuses me that people can't wait a week for an episode of a programme.
I guess I'm of the age that waiting a week for the next episode of 24 was part of the fun.
Instant gratification seems to take away a lot of the pleasure.
I've got a 30 day trial on Amazon at the moment that will expire before the 27th March, so I'll watch what episodes I can and the wait for another trial to see the rest ??

hmm its not perfect... despite the violence and language, it feels "light", the pictures are always bright or with hyper clear contrast... The dialogue is 'clean', distinct and ordered. Everything is clear and easy to follow. I'd like more moody, dark gritty-ness, more mess and a natural flow...
I found the first movie to be near perfect apart from the obvious, and in that regard the TV series has corrected that bit and is making a decent collection of stories. Compared to a lot of TV, this is one series I commit to and enjoy.
Although the current fight not to surf whilst watching anything is ever present... I think our attention spans are ever decreasing these days

I watched the first two last night and enjoyed - it was very close to the book. They removed a lot of the dark gritty-ness by
killing off Richard's mum for TV.
The other notable difference so far was the boot email device is now a phone. Presumably to make it easier to shoehorn in the annoying Neagley.
I haven’t started season 3 yet. Season 2 was very poor. Big Al seemed to have traded charisma for veneers and frequently strutted about like an 80’s doorman carrying an invisible roll of carpet under each arm.
I saw he made his political views known as well, which struck me as unwise given who this character is likely to resonate with.

First one I have watched having read the book prior.
Ritchson is reacher for me now, he portrays him exactly as I think of him when I read the books.
Yep. I watched the 3 episodes this afternoon and noticed that they seem to have given him an older more rugged appearance now than the first 2 series which seems to more in line with Reacher in the books.Ritchson is reacher for me now, he portrays him exactly as I think of him when I read the books.
I enjoyed the 3 episodes, it's been long enough since I read the book to only vaguely recall the storyline so any changes are not jarring for me.
