The Day of the Jackal: TV Series
Discussion
Ah, didn’t pick that up, still a prat though, a man’s cave is a mancave, not to be disturbed by wives or brother in law.
Yup, thought it was a nice touch to have him drive an Alfa, pretty car but cannot see him driving it today, yesterdays car,
Anyone else think the fact that he used the printed rifle to get out of trouble and fired several shots with it when he was warned it would only be good for 7 or 8 will play against him in the end?

I thought the Alfa was yellow? Should have been the boat tail one though as they’re prettier. The watermelon scene was brilliant - exactly as 1973 - even the glance down to the hanging fruit as he adjusted the sights! There’s not a wasted scene in the whole thing so far for me - it’s very fast-moving …

Although it irked me how it went from day light to pitch black during the final chase scene
agreed - it's happened in a few programmes we've watched recently and there's no need for it. It seems pure laziness When does it air now I’ve done the first 5?
Watched the first episode last night - it ok except like other recent dramas depicting British secret service, the main secret service actor is crap. Can't work out of its the actor or the script. See Night Sleeper as another example.
Also - people shot in the back of the head with bullet that size, don't still have a face!

Unfortunately scripting now calls for boxes to be ticked. Just as bad in no time to die, just comes across chopsy and irritating. Also - people shot in the back of the head with bullet that size, don't still have a face!

I thought what they’d spent on shooting in various locations they clearly saved on the script and direction.
The credits suggest it was mostly filmed in Croatia.I watched the first batch of episodes, hopefully the weekly release schedule means there will be an spoiler worthy finale, so they want as many people as possible to get into the show before the final episode.

I hope it does not end with the barrel blowing up in his face,
Why not. Let's not forget he's a baddie. He's already killed innocent people (the truck driver and the copper) and his brief is to assassinate someone who seems to want to do a good thing. I hope the barrel does blow up in his face. TwigtheWonderkid said:
