Anybody else pick up in episode 1 near the end when he pulled up in Spain in a white Alfa spider a little nod to the white Alfa spider the jackel drove in the 1973 film :-)

Ah, didn’t pick that up, still a prat though, a man’s cave is a mancave, not to be disturbed by wives or brother in law. smile

Yup, thought it was a nice touch to have him drive an Alfa, pretty car but cannot see him driving it today, yesterdays car,

Anyone else think the fact that he used the printed rifle to get out of trouble and fired several shots with it when he was warned it would only be good for 7 or 8 will play against him in the end?

Agree, will record remaining 5 and watch them together, never liked series that is on weekly.

Thought the friend of his wife was annoying interfering prat, breaking into another man’s den, idiot.
That was his brother in law?
It was

I thought the Alfa was yellow? Should have been the boat tail one though as they’re prettier. The watermelon scene was brilliant - exactly as 1973 - even the glance down to the hanging fruit as he adjusted the sights! There’s not a wasted scene in the whole thing so far for me - it’s very fast-moving …

I think he’s a max of 3 left.

I hope it does not end with the barrel blowing up in his face, enjoying the programme so far hope it continues for another series, difficult to work out how it will end especially his relationship with his wife.

That did cross my mind especially as its shortfalls were mentioned more than once

Although it irked me how it went from day light to pitch black during the final chase scene
agreed - it's happened in a few programmes we've watched recently and there's no need for it. It seems pure laziness frown
Yep, I thought I’d blinked and suddenly missed a big chunk of it!

When does it air now I’ve done the first 5?
There were a couple of scenes which were a bit lazy. It feels like they need a link and it becomes rather tenuous.

Does it improve after episode 1?

I thought what they’d spent on shooting in various locations they clearly saved on the script and direction.

Watched the first episode last night - it ok except like other recent dramas depicting British secret service, the main secret service actor is crap. Can't work out of its the actor or the script. See Night Sleeper as another example.

Also - people shot in the back of the head with bullet that size, don't still have a face!

If you read the previous posts you can form your own opinion but for me it got better. Only one way to find out though.

Unfortunately scripting now calls for boxes to be ticked. Just as bad in no time to die, just comes across chopsy and irritating.

The credits suggest it was mostly filmed in Croatia.

I watched the first batch of episodes, hopefully the weekly release schedule means there will be an spoiler worthy finale, so they want as many people as possible to get into the show before the final episode.

Enjoyed the first 5 apart from the obvious holes and a few wtf moments. I do like his house though. What a lovely looking place, wife's alright too !!

Excellent so far, but very frustrating not to be able to download episodes 6-10 as weekly doses just don't work for me personally.

Why not. Let's not forget he's a baddie. He's already killed innocent people (the truck driver and the copper) and his brief is to assassinate someone who seems to want to do a good thing. I hope the barrel does blow up in his face.

yes Chekhov’s 3-D printed limited-lifespan gun.
