disgusting, yet it seems that the authorities have missed/ignored it in every single case, is anyone closer to working out why these men do it?

The daughter of a disgraced politician who was implicated in the Rotherham sex-grooming scandal has been placed in charge of a council-funded support service for the town’s abuse victims.

She still lives with her father. This was a man who “brokered a deal under which one of his relatives agreed to hand a missing 14-year-old girl to police at a petrol station after receiving an assurance that he would not be prosecuted.”

Moreover he’s been accused of rape himself.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/feb/26/ro...

And “the Akhtars are related to four brothers — Arshid, Basharat, Bannaras and Sageer Hussain — who were jailed for between 19 and 35 years in 2016 after they were convicted of 53 child sex offences between them against 16 Rotherham girls.

It is understood that the charity informed Rotherham council of its decision to employ Ms Akhtar and that the local authority voiced no concern about the appointment.”

The daughter has access to confidential details of those who have been groomed and sexually exploited.

What the fk is going on in places like Rotherham?

Given the revelations about David Steele, and Johnson's comments about enquiries into historic abuse - do you think nonce based nepotism is restricted to Muslim Pakistanis?

edit - let's not forget Thatcher's complicity as well.
And the current Attorney general.

On this scale, yes.
Choose a town or city with a high muslim population and you'll see evidence (buried or otherwise) of widespread grooming of white girls.
End of.

No point. To most normal thinking people, paedos are paedos and deserve all the justice they can face and probably a bit more for their disgusting actions. However, on this forum, only brown people are vilified, but it’s dressed up as Muslims, so as to play the ‘Islam isn’t a race’ card and other Robinsonisms.

In my opinion the whole grooming, gangs, rings set up stinks and not enough is being done to limit future damage as everyone is focussed on gangs that were active a decade or so ago. No problem at all in prosecuting this scum, but I’d rather see more preventative action being taken. However, the thread will degenerate as people like Pork Sword come on playing on the periphery with their comments.

Who is "they"?

Jon Stonehouse, Director of Children's Services at Rochdale Council
Or Sue Wynne, director of the charity involved?

Strangely enough, I don't have them in my back pocket, no.

You have a careful read of what was posted and I'll have a look around for them. What is your point ? Same as usual ?

If you are going to to post about scale, maybe you should have the numbers.

As an aside do you think this historical abuse should have been investigated?

It has nothing to do with education I’m afraid.

A group of us went to the US last year for a leadership programme. Part of it involved “immersing” ourselves in the community, and some of the problems it faces - from business to crime. One group visited a police unit that focuses on child prostitution. The message they came back with was that for those particular girls, it was generally middle aged professionals that were the abusers.

I think that prepubescent child abuse is probably committed by people who’s brains are not wired correctly. Those that choose post pubescent girls probably don’t respect the boundary that society puts on childhood, and/or their brains are not wired correctly. Class or intellectual ability is totally permeable.
i'm not sure the states is the best place for that kind of training given it appears that women in the armed forces over there are more likely to be sexually assaulted than killed in action. quite often women in very senior positions as well. have to admit to be shocked to hear this.

Not necessarily old bean. When the scale is unprecedented and the numbers enormous.

I’m knee jerking? Yet you’re the one specifically posting on these threads and these threads alone. You’ve been asked already who “they” are and that’s exactly the point I was making about your choice of words. Ditto the comment about white girls. You’ve not even got the courage of your convictions to be honest about your views.

You don’t post on the Cyril Smith thread, even though he’s a classic example of what you refer to, by operating in “a town or city with a high Muslim population” plenty of evidence about his abuse too, or doesn’t it count if it’s white boys, or is that the perpetrator is white in this case so you ignore it. Better still, is it the fact that he’s not a gang, he’s part of a ring, as if there’s a distinction.

I find all paedos equally disgusting, I don’t reserve my disdain for one specific group. Equally, I don’t now assume that all white Christians are paedos, unlike you do with Muslims.

Yet more proof that your incapable of sensible debate. Whenever anyone calls you out for what you are, you either fail to reply, or just resort to sticking your fingers in your ears and going la-la-la.

Fact is, there’s enough people seen straight through you on here in the last few posts.
