Given that it's Marvel comics which has been super woke for a long time, I'd put money on it not being done in a derogatory manner.

Just about every Doctor I have seen has not been white, I even thought that it just shows how much more dedicated to eduction most Asian and Eastern Asian are compared to black and white people.

The stats suggest a doctor is a lot more likely to be Asian than a random person from the general population, still a minority, but I think this falls away as the roles get more senior.
