oh well I guess she won't be appearing on Question Time again

Corbyn will have to send some of his other star turns instead.

I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of Emily and Keir each week then.

I reckon Fiona Bruce did her a favour not allowing her to respond to the audience member. Every time Abbott opens her gob she puts her foot in it, so it was damage limitation IMHO.

Perhaps we should have a program for her to participate in alone to debate specifically on a key part of the subject the audience member spoke towards - Abbot’s suitability to hold a position in high office. Every word she utters should be analysed and debated in that program.

I’d even suggest we give it a couple hours and any moment she wanders off topic, her mic gets turned off. At the end of the program, the audience can decide if she still has a job. Hey, we could even call it Parliament’s Got Talent, Dancing On Lies or something catchy.

Then do exactly the same with the other 649 for a comparison. Should weed out some of the dead wood.

Isn't she basically doing the same thing Trump does, attacking the media if criticized? silly

Not where she wants to be, I'm sure...

Such stunning lack of self awareness:-

Ms Abbott said Ms Bruce did "not appear well briefed".

Pot. Kettle. Black.

(My use of the word black isn't racism by the way Ms Abbott...)
Haha, from the woman incapable of reading a brief let alone understand what it means.

Thick as mince.

I'm sure she's also peeved that she can't use the Sexist card either now it's Bruce holding her to account.

Good. The more the public sees and hears from these people, the better they'll be able to form an opinion on them too.

Oh dear, she really is the gift that keeps giving!

“Ms Abbott said it "would be wrong to blame Fiona Bruce for all this. Question Time has had a new editor for some time, and seems more interested in entertainment than politics.”

If the editor’s been there for some time, since 2017 in fact, she’s hardly new, dear.

confused

If Fiona Bruce was chairing Question Time properly and had to intervene to stop Dianne Abbott speaking twice as many times as she needed to intervene when Rory Stewart was speaking, that doesn't necessarily make it Fiona Bruce's fault.

I'd be interested in knowing how much speaking time was afforded to Diane - if she was given twice as much for instance.

IIRC she was interrupted so often because she didn't try and answer the questions set to her, rather tried to highlight Tory shortcomings regarding Brexit. Fiona Bruce was trying to coax her into addressing the actual questions properly..

Now that really did make me laugh out loud laugh
At the rick of sending TD into a coma, is she referring to being informed, or something else?

If the latter, compared to Ms Abbott, I'd be inclined to agree.

The other guests - were pretty much on topic. FB was nailing them down.
Diane was - well just being Diane - full of platitudes - but absolutely no substance.
