Gulf of Oman incidents

If this was a genuine Iranian attack the Saudis and the US would be screaming blue murder.
It isn't. They're painting a scenario where, in a few weeks time, they can "justify" bombing Iranian nuclear weapons sites, something that Bolton and his neo-con allies in Washington and Tel Aviv have been itching to do for years.

Bolton is a dangerous warmongering loose cannon..............and yet, he dodged the draft during the Vietnam war. Funny how he's quick to want to put the lives of US service personnel on the same line that he chose to avoid himself Condi said:
Indeed, but who, and why?
Iran have nothing to gain from this, no terrorist group have taken responsibility, and the whole thing is just very confusing. As likely to be Saudi Arabia poking bears as anything else.
Not everyone in the Iranian government sings to the same tune.Iran have nothing to gain from this, no terrorist group have taken responsibility, and the whole thing is just very confusing. As likely to be Saudi Arabia poking bears as anything else.

...and of course, team trump owe the Saudi's and UAE for the election assistance, which is why they didn't want to do anything about Kashoggi's murder, Kushner continues his whatapp messages to MBS, trumps unilateral pull out of the Iran deal etc.It isn't. The question is, why ramp this up now? There were attacks on pipelines and 4 other ships in May when the US tried to lessen the tensions...

I'm a long time buyer and reader of The Times, mostly at the weekend. I realise the Times is viewed as right of the political spectrum, this does not represent my views. However, I'm a buyer/reader due to the overall quality of journalism, suffice to say I don't always agree with content or their journalists' views e.g. Matthew Parris, although I can often understand how they arrive at their point of view.
That is an absolutely pathetic piece of unverifiable drivel posted above, they ought to be ashed of themselves vomiting Trumpian propaganda. Perhaps I've been naive all these years, but I have never witnessed Murdoch's fingerprints all over a piece like this. Utterly despicable.

I guess you read a different article to me then - as I'm struggling to see anything pro-orangeman in that piece?aeropilot said:

As an addendum: That Times piece is something I'd expect to hear on Fox "News", I realise Murdoch owns both, up to now they've never converged in tone like this.

The Japanese owner says the ship was hit by a flying object.
Crew report flying object(s) and hit above the water line. Not mines.Obvious false flag is obvious. Not that it matters much, you have to be willfully blind not to see the pattern.
"It's comin' right for us!" Blam.
Right on cue.
