Perhaps not but the law attempts to prevent previous convictions prejudicing a case so you can't use his past to paint this as an example of someone just being up for a fight rather than apprehending another violent criminal.

I know someone who did time for a quite a nasty attack and now looks back on it with shame. I hope they'd never be forced in to a situation like this.

Ah ok I thought the tusk bloke was a Polish chef or something.
That’s what I recalled too, unless he used to be a chef in a Polish restaurant but is British?

It was mistaken identity, the chef was holding off the extremist nutter by stabbing him with a pole
