Well the gangs were touted by BLM as the replacement for the police. It seems they did a better job than anyone could've imagined

How mental has the world gone when a couple of white people protesting on behalf of people of colour go off on one at a person of colour who disagrees with their protest? It seemed he was not as extreme as they deemed he should be, therefore he was "wrong". I despair.

"Defund the Police" and autonomous zones really resonating with the electorate, then.

Well, if the Police arent allowed to shoot people quite as often, then the public are going to have to take up the slack.

Starting to look like "The Purge" wasnt really a work of fiction after all.

Mind you if it comes to pass, theres a few thousand antifa/anarchists who arent going to make it through, bonus.
Calling a black guy an uncle tom when youre supposed anitracist and white just shows that theyre no such thing, theyre far more racist that the people theyre protesting about, ill bet that idiot had a blue screen of death moment in his head when he saw one of the oppressed tell him he didnt agree.. Coming on to this part of PH is often toxic, but perhaps it would be beneficial to highlight a few things that some of you might not be aware of.

This was a gated community that the BLM rioters, sorry, peaceful protesters broke into. Therefore, from what I understand, it’s classed as private property, ie: no trespassing or you’re liable to get shot.

It has been reported that there were videos on Twitter of the rioters, dammit, sorry, peaceful protesters, openly carrying firearms, threatening to kill the couple whom we are discussing here, threatening to burn down their home and threatening to kill their dog before the couple in question presented their own firearms.

I don’t have Twitter, so I haven’t seen the video, but this was discussed in length on a couple of Tim Pool / Timcast videos, (readily available on YouTube), where Tim Pool had stated that he had seen the video, therefore I believe the facts as reported by Tim Pool, (a left of centre former Occupy Wall Street protester, so hardly your hated Tucker Carlson on Fox).

I just thought you might benefit from a fuller understanding of reported events before posting further.

You've decided to comment on something you've sought to remain ignorant of; praise be. There are also commenters who state the gates were not locked, video footage shows the gate undamaged and in any case the road is a thoroughfare and is used by pedestrians who aren't resident, although for safety's sake only white ones. Were any houses looted or burned, were any pets killed? No.

I had a look at Mr. Pool's output; he seems to want to be Ben Shapiro and his presentational style is definitely as annoying.

Take a look at the photographs of what was left behind after CHAZ in Seattle was cleared of so called protesters.

Why on earth are imbeciles like this even being given the oxygen of publicity in the media let alone expecting anybody who values modern day society to listen to their opinions or wishes.

It's like the whatever that was shouting at the police about lack of education? What on earth is that about? I'm not saying you can't mince around in a little green tu-tu and flip flops if that's what you you feel like doing, but please don't expect people to place any value on how you think things should be done or how we should all live.

The world really is going mad very quickly.

This morning on GMTV they interviewed one of the two lawyers who defended their house from the mob that kicked the gates down and trespassed on private property. The attempts they made to discredit the lawyer and promote the protesters as peaceful was almost comical were it not so serious. Fortunately the lawyer was no fool and made them look stupid as they tried to stick to the pre-written hatchet job somebody had written for them to attack with and when it didn't pan out as well as they had hoped the interview strangely ran out of time.

That's on ITV, what is the agenda going on, does somebody up high want divide and disagreements?

I suppose the old divide and conquer could be a thing.

Look who funds organisations like BLM and XR in terms of the answer to that.

I did decide to comment on something without knowing the full facts. As did you. That is entirely different to remaining ignorant about a subject matter. Therefore if I am ignorant, then the same criticism could quite easily be levelled at you.

You’ve seen pictures of what is allegedly the gates to this gated community being left in tact and wide open. I’ve seen pictures of what is allegedly the gates to this gated community with one gate torn from its hinges.

The fact is, neither of us really know the truth. Neither of us were there when this happened. Neither of us is in a position to state categorically what did, or what didn’t happen, and the timeline of those events.

What we do know is that crowds are dangerous. Crowds are unpredictable, especially when emotions, (and often ignorance), is running high.

We know that many states in America have a far more tolerant viewpoint on gun ownership and the rights of a homeowner to protect their property.

We also know that there has been widespread violence and property damage during these peaceful protests. Therefore perhaps it is too easy to pour scorn on others and the actions they’ve taken without having actually taken into account the bigger picture?

Wouldn’t you agree?

There are also reports of the gate being busted open.

I don't see a gated community though, I see a big house which the occupants apparently restored over many years.

Don't understand why anyone objects to the occupants of the house to stand in the garden while watching the protest and peacefully holding firearms. Did any shots get fired, any protesters hurt or killed, no,, because it was peaceful act!

Jenny Durkan objected to piecefull protesters turning up on her doorstep trying to offer her their love

It was in the United States.

Funnily enough, as it is a different country, laws, customs, and attitudes in the USA are different from the laws, customs, and attitudes in the UK.

I find it annoying that what happens in the US is used as evidence of what must, therefore, be happening in the UK, and metaphorically taking our attitudes across the Atlantic is just as wrong.

While the 'kneecap white people' Tweeter still works at Cambridge, and the Burnley fan who flew the WLM banner is banned to life this strikes me as a double standard which needs to be rectified if there is to be equality.

If you tell people there is an acceptable form of racism, there's only going to be a bigger backlash against it. Perhaps it's the other way round and systemic racism is seen as the accepted form, promting anti-while racism but I struggle to see why all are not equally punishable

Are you suggesting all racism matters?
