Must have been a difficult couple of weeks for you having to come to terms with the reality of the situation given your beliefs pre Biden/Trump debate.

Has everyone already forgotten Biden’s recent performance at the State of the Union? GOP shat themselves and said Uncle Joe had to have been on drugs. Its pathetic.

I expect Joe to dole out a similar drubbing and the subsequent shutting up of the toxic Biden muck spreaders. For a week, at least!
A valuable contribution form Dave as usual laugh

Ah cmon you know as well as anyone else people were just never going to apologise or regret being snarky and rude to those having a view that was subsequently proven correct.....

Who's Kamala?! The only thing Ive seen was her talking to adults like children about space. No way in the world will she beat Trump.

Trump talks to everyone like they're children, so it should be a fair fight.

Saw someone nearly sum up that this election is between an 82 year old who talks like he’s 100, and a 78 year old who talks like he’s 10

Most American's haven't got a clue who Angela Rayner is or Oliver Dowden. Kamala is very visible where it matters, here in the USA, even if she's not that visible in Surrey, where it really matters not one jot.

I had that fired at me by quite a few people on this thread. I said I noticed glaring similarities with my FiL who has been diagnosed with dementia within the last couple of years, especially the way they both stare into space with the dead looking eyes/ mouth open. The response was 'are you a doctor', 'where did you qualify' etc etc.

Not laughing now are they.
Yep, I was on the receiving end from HM-2 et al when I also noted similarities between Biden's symptoms and those of someone close to me. It's a stutter. Was I a doctor? Was I his personal physician? Was I a close friend of Biden that could attest to decline compared to XX moment in time?
I gave up and largely left the thread after I was accused for the umpteenth time of being a Trump supporter in disguise etc.

I also, sadly, remember saying last year that Biden would win 2024, so long as he survived the campaign trail without significant senior moments.
It looks like he has fallen at the first hurdle, and only the most blinkered would deny that.
My goodness I do hope that somebody can persuade Joe to step aside and put a new candidate in place. Harris is NOT going to cut it either, and that's not because she's a woman, or because she's black - Michelle O would walk into the Whitehouse if she ran - but rather because she's been inept and gaffe prone as a VP.
There must be SOMEONE that can pick up the cudgels and win against Trump. As it stands, Trump is the likely winner.
For sure. I think the longer Biden tries to carry on the worse it will get for the Dems as a whole. Its plain to see we have senile POTUS who is not in control. The question that needs to be asked and investigated is who is really running things and for how long has this been covered up.

Trump couldn't of asked for a better situation currently. Who would vote for a party who's leader is no longer capable of the job and has become daily front page world news as to his mental and physical capacity.

I'm sure he will have a few die hard supporters on here who just cant face reality, they would probably vote for him as he was his coffin was heading into the crematorium fires such is their delusion.

Trust me, most people haven't got a clue who Angela Rayner is here either. Its going to be horrible when they really find out.

This option is apparently better, whilst also somehow “saving democracy”

The good old days where they first tried calling him racist and Hitler but they couldn't find anything to back those up,
There's loads to back the racism claims up, back to the 1970s.

1973: The US Department of Justice sued the Trump Management Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act. Federal officials found evidence that Trump had refused to rent to Black tenants and lied to Black applicants about whether apartments were available, among other accusations.

And much, much more:

Was Trump himself the estate or letting agent in these cases, signing off each individual tenancy agreement? The reality is he was many steps removed from this process. No one worth any salt is pushing the racist argument nowadays
That's a hilarious argument, not sure if you're serious.

No she's not! She may be very visible where you are, where your wife is a Democrat party volunteer, but to the non-partisan rest if the country, no-one has seen anything she's done.

She's been a low-key VP, as they often are. If she steps in she has a great opportunity to shoot at an open goal, bearing in what a complete tool her opponent is. I think Pete Buttigieg would be a good choice, but I am not sure America is quite ready for a gay president yet.

I believe Harris was given The Border as her thing to sort out.
That was either a chance to make a name for herself or a ‘hospital pass’ depending on how you look at it.

I don’t follow her every move, but somehow she doesn’t seem to be strongly rated in Democrat circles as POTUS material.

Which rather contradicts unrepentant claims as to her visibility.
As for shooting at an open goal, she is not going to motivate voters to get out and vote for her.
If anything she's going to be associated with Biden and his decline. She's not quite as much a boat anchor as Biden, but she's no Obama.

Right now, there's no way I'm voting for Trump. But I'm not voting for Biden or Harris either. Independent all the way, again - unless the Dems wise up and get someone alive on the ticket.
Please, I'm begging you - get someone else I can vote for.

Hell no. Evil $#*$@.

But your wife was a campaign volunteer for Clinton, as you've said previously - and you've been heinously, heinously wrong before.

I think pretty much everyone in the UK who went out to vote will be aware who Rayner is. I don't know anyone who isn't aware of who she is however they voted.
