I think it's foolish to think that Russia are going to pack up the war effort and return back to Russia. Spending billions on weaponry is not really helping with a solution to end things.

There has to be a dialogue to end things (as there is with all wars) and Biden did state he wasn't ready to talk to Putin. Although in fairness, he did contradict himself about a minute later and say he's prepared to speak with any leader including Putin.

Did the Taliban have dialogue in Afghanistan with Russia or the Western allies?
I would imagine what passed for the taliban back then did and they did with Western allies in the recent conflict.

There is almost always dialogue via secret channels or third parties even if you don't hear about it at the time.

Thought the taliban won! hehe

The west lost appetite to fight that war and tried to take the golden bridge back with its tail between their legs.

Wheres trump? Go e into hiding again? Can't afford to campaign because he's spent all his campaign money on his law suits?

Meanwhile Bidens carried on campaigning, yesterday in Michigan

Quite a fiery delivery

Biden: Poor donald, he can't even watch TV this week because it's shark week
https://twitter.com/i/status/1811909169714483516

Biden: It is time for us to stop treating politics like entertainment and reality TV.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1811911834632634412

Biden: Unlike donald trump, I don't work for big oil. I don't work for big pharma. I don't work for the national rifle association. I work for you, the American people.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1811913339607617830

Biden: You made me the nominee, no one else, not the press, not the pundits, not the insiders, not the donors. You the voters decided, no one else, and I'm not going anywhere.

Shah: I can’t vote for trump because I know he is a convicted felon who can’t vote for himself… I'm a Republican woman, do not strip my freedom from me and then tell me you're not doing that. That angers me more than anything else..

Unlike Biden, trump has over 40 of his former administration saying they wont vote for trump, his own former VP he tried to ill says he won't vote for him.

Biden: I mean, my schedule has been full. Where has trump been? Riding around in his golf cart, filling out his scorecard before he hits the ball. Look, he's done virtually nothing.

I'm sure 4 years ago Biker was terribly annoyed and upset when the Reps claimed Biden was "hiding" and not as busy as Trump was leading up to the election...

Exactly this.

Fortunately after little power naps, he seems to forget about the absolute howlers he had yesterday, the day before, and so on.

'Vice President' Trump can sit back and reflect on how good a job Biden is doing himself along with the serious infighting within the Dems of handing the election to him on a plate.

Why does he need to do anything?

This seems way too easy for Trump, the media all instantly turning on Biden and laying off the attacks on Trump. It's almost like there's a sinister plan in the background, I wonder what this year's "October Surprise" will be...

trump is doing the right thing by staying uncharacteristically quiet.

It would be great if he could carry this on a bit longer, perhaps for the next 20 years or so.

Trump's allowed back on facebook and Instagram

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/trump-reinsta...

I wonder if the decision is hoping he'll say somehting worthy of being banned again. Sort of "giving him enough rope,,,"

Or they'll think he will win. And wont want him banning them!

I could sense that things were very odd and there was something sinister in the air, but there was no way I could have predicted this. Wish Trump a swift recovery and damn he must be shaken by this

It's interesting going back to page 1 of this thread.

Some surprising foresight and some laughably wide of the mark.

Was listening to a podcast about Hitler recently and they said the amount loaned by the US was equivalent to £700bn in today's money.

Contributed to Hitler declaring war on the US.
