What's the point? Who else can we vote for that's competent at present?

Moreover I think Labour are a shambles but this is embarrassing and they were democratically elected, like it or not.

I've had this passed on Whatsapp a couple of times today. Agree that it's something of a st show currently but it's not unexpected and was voted for quite convincingly.

The other problem is at the moment there's it's no organised opposition. What would be gained by allowing the Conservatives back in at this point?

It would have been much better if Labour had campaigned on a ticket of rejoining the EU at least we would have had ax plan on how to get our country back on track.

What are the other suggestions?

Someone on a WhatsApp group claimed it was the biggest response to a petition in history when it reached one million signatures.
I pointed out the reverse Brexit one was six times that and nothing happened.
He failed to reply…

You got a problem with a democratically elected government?

What do you hope to achieve?

Do you think an easily ignored petition will force a change of government?

You’re wasting your time but hey, knock yourselves out. I mean nothing worries a sitting government more than lazy fkwits putting their name to a petition hoping it’ll change things.

I think the opposition are more worried than the government. If there was any chance of an election the state the tories in right now, they'd st themselves

Fine, point me to any government anywhere that hasn’t lied.

You’ll get your chance to voice your displeasure with Labour in four and a half years.

Or don’t people believe in democracy here?

What makes someone who signs a petition showing displeasure in the way the country is being run a ”lazy f*ckwit”?

1.4 million (currently) signatories is a lot of lazy f*ckwits.

While we’re at it please can we have another Brexit referendum. All the polls are consistently telling us that most regret their decision and Trump’s incoming tariffs provide further food for thought. Nice to see Nigel and Vlad lining up behind Donald, just in case any of the idiots were in doubt. Shame Orwell was right.

It's undemocratic and this shower should complete their term. I signed to send a message, but a message it should remain.

Yep. I’m so enraged by this government that’ll I sign a petition. That’ll show ‘em. Starmer has convened Cobra and planning his escape as I type such is the power of a .gov petition.

At least the French burn sheep and set fire to a few things to voice their anger but it’s too much to actually go outside and light a brazier or two and protest so clicking a link will do just fine. Jesus wept, people are getting silly on Twitter and whatnot thinking what they are doing will change things.

It’ll change NOTHING. Stop wasting your time.

Clicking a link is the very definition of slacktivism, if it was young people moaning about something you'd be all over it. Do summat useful if you're all that bothered

I’m going to start a petition about everything I disagree with. I’m sure it will result in action.

Signing a petition on the Gov website takes no more than a couple of minutes, so again what is it it that makes you so upset and angry that you refer to those taking a couple of minutes to sign a petition as “lazy f*ckwits”?

I don’t think for one minute that the vast majority of those signing the petition think anything will come of it, it’s nothing more than a means of expressing their displeasure in the way the countries being led.

Who’s wasting their time?

I didn't vote for this shower but they were elected.

When did it become the norm to refuse to accept democracy?

Sounds like clickbait for morons, probably collecting contact details for a demographic who are easily scammed.
