Sir Roderick certainly gave Wallace a good hand-bagging. Can we forward to some follow up glad-ragging?

"Broadcaster Kirsty Wark, who was a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011, said he told "sexualised" jokes during filming."
So 13 years ago he told her a dirty joke. Hold the front page.
Whilst sirkier was head of the CPS 2 sexual predators were reported for multiple rapes and got away with it so we better have trial by media of any man who may have said anything faintly smuty.
Try reading the BBC article. 13 complaints over 17 years, some as recent as 2022.

There was an HR investigation in 2018 about an incident in that year, which led to the conclusion that "many aspects of [Wallace's] behaviour were both unacceptable and unprofessional"
So 6 years ago the Beeb were aware of Wallace’s unacceptable & unprofessional behaviour and did nothing about it?

There seems to be a reoccurring theme with the Beeb, & it’s far from a positive one

His Grandad can sweat them out at will apparently.

Rod giving Wallace a good 70s telling off with comments about his physical appearance. hehe

Suggestion for you - read the BBC article.

Incredible; calling out someone as a bully and then following it up with belittling comments about bodyshaming and physical appearance to 000's of followers on social media.

Rod doesn't seem to understand what is bullying and what isn't....

Sort of related, he approached a friend of a friend on Twitter I seem to recall and ended up marrying her. Then divorcing her.

Then there was all that carry on about his handicapped son.

Even back when he was approaching females on social media for fun and frolics we had him down as a weirdo, wife told me he’d been sacked and this evening and I simply replied “we always said it…”.

Wonder who will replace him, big Jay to get the gig? I won’t miss him and his gurning and catchphrases but he did bring something to the competition.

I like Greg Wallace and he's great on MasterChef.

I've read this thread and a few articles and there are no details or context. I can't see what he's said, to whom, etc.

I'm not for a second poo-pooing this. Just frustrating to see all this "sexualised comments". What does that mean?

How did he humiliate rod Stewart's wife?

I know people who have worked with him and they are surprised it's taken this long. From what I've been told he's a dirty perve who needs to understand his audience. Some conversation topics are fine amongst friends, but talking about how good you are at shagging your wife, asking people about their sex life and showing shirtless photos of yourself to relative strangers is going to get you in hot water. Total slime ball.

Sounds like sexist jokes. Hardly crime of the century.

TX.
What century do you live in?
Oh FFS, just what the world needs, more permanently offended, hand wringing bleeding heart Karens.

Does make you wonder doesn't it.

Not sure I see it as a BBC thing so much as some weird thing about the way "the talent" seems to be treated.

I suspect Wallace hasn't realised that you can't do that st in the modern workplace any more not that you ever should have been able to in the first place.

Don’t they all make sexualised jokes on bake off
Indeed. Puts me in mind of this...

Seems it is OK to be a bit flirty as long as you look like Paul Hollywood, or are goofy and unthreatening like Noel Fielding.

My wife watches Bake Off, so by dint so do I :hehe Hollywood comes across as completely genuine to me and it's usually his co-hosts and more than often the contestants who come up with the innuendo.

If I was Director General of the beeb I’d be asking HR who of ‘the talent’ have been the subject of several complaints.

I’d then make sure they then plied their wares elsewhere. Nobody is irreplaceable yet the beeb persist with some of these characters as if they are.

Kind of proves my point. Rod Stewart's reaction speaks volumes IMO as he goes out of his way to make a big deal of Wallace's appearance as if somehow that makes a difference to the alleged behaviour.

On the subject of Rod Stewart - glass houses and stones. He's a carnaptious wee diva of the first order.

In one of life's little coincidences I had to so sexual harassment awareness training at work this week.

The allegations are absolutely textbook and any employer ignoring complaints of that nature is asking for trouble.

+1

And then below an article about sexualized bantz the mail has "Claudia Schiffer's daughter Clementine, 20, is spitting image of her supermodel mum, 54, as she showcases her incredible figure in plunging cutout swimsuit" complete with a photo of the poor woman.
