Interesting today a couple of Labour people on radio 4 wanted none of a lib Lab pact because they thought it would only last a short while anf they would get blame for all the cuts.

They're not "blackmailing" anyone, and they got 23% of the votes; PR has been part of the Liberal manifesto for nigh on 70 years so you can't pretend the 23% didn't know what they were voting for. If the Conservatives want them to join with them, they have to make an acceptable offer. The Tories are always free to go it alone.

yes the 23% knew it was part of what the lib dems want But I don't belive it was high up the list for the voters. I'm sure their other policies where more important to them. Well that and Clegg came across well on TV.

Only people I know who voted for them, the reason was they were not Labour or tories. The others don't even know what their policies are.
