First quote fully comp £740 TPFT £700
Next company fully comp £350.
Different companies will charge different prices based on their own rates, claims data, market data etc.

Similar to why not all prices are the same in supermarkets.

I was with Admiral for many years. As a young'un with a reasonably high-performance car (at the time), they were great.

However, I have become less and less paitient with the annual 'renewal dance'. Pay £500 in year one, the renewal comes through at £600 for year two. Go onto their website and find it's £510. Phone up and go through all the information in minute detail for 30 minutes. End up paying £510.

Understand why they do it, but year-on-year it becomes an unwanted or unneeded hassle. Fine when the 30 minute call would save me £300, less so when it would save me £20.

This year I insured through Nationwide, who were much cheaper than the renewal from Admiral but a little more expensive than the Admiral web price. Worth it not to have to phone them for 30 minutes, though!

I saved £80 by calling Admiral at renewal this year, which I think makes it cheaper than last year for multicar.

Obviously I need to wind my neck in then.

I shall merely see it as amusing that the letter notifying me of the cancellation of policy came after 6 days despite being given 7 and 4 days before the letter giving me until the end of the month.
