Luckily they're routing HS2 behind it, should mask some of the A46 noise.

I really fancy this today:

You could make a really nice family home out of it with a bit of gentle updating, and the location would be fantastic for about 10 months of the year. A bit busy for the other 2 months though.

If you're retired then you just time some holiday time away at the insane times

Its only distinguishing feature is the location, which is either a big plus or a big minus. The house itself is grim. Boring modern box with no character, tiny and almost unusable garden, close neighbours on all sides, bugger all parking...

You'd only want it as a second home - in that use case most of the negatives you outline become positives. No character + no garden = lower maintenance hassle. If you were spending pawn money on it you'd put an obnoxiously large wraparound deck and hot tub / sex pond / infinity pool on the ground floor level.

I agree, that's grim.

I like them both. The US one's a model of restraint. Nice.

I think it could make a good holiday or retirement home with a bit of remodelling - receptions on the 1st floor for the views, bedrooms on the lower floor.
Would need knocking about a bit though.

Was this not the house that was on "The Sheriffs are Coming" where the woman denied all knowledge of a debit and didn't actually live in the house, when they started to look around it they found a separate annex - it looks so familiar from the front
