Has anyone ever put any Amtico or Kardean down?
Discussion
I am hoping somebody in the know can offer some advice on this .................
I have a hall floor which has Amtico flooring on it, sitting on top of plywood substrate, been sitting there for years, nothing wrong with it looks great etc. I have closed off a doorway so where the pattern followed the hall properly it now doesn't make sense. The good news is that I have loads of spares Tiles(?) so I won't have to reuse any of the Tiles that are lifted.
Will slightly warming the tiles (hair dryer?) help to lift them? Not bothered about damaging the Tiles, more worried about the plywood underneath.
Does it have to be only Amtico adhesive, I will need a half a cup full at most, they only sell 2.5L? Will Karndean adhesive work, they do 1Lt?
Many thanks in advance for any tips

I fitted my own Karndean and it's a doddle to do if you are just using the Pressure Adhesive. Also had to remove a single tile and refit which was quite easy although took ages to get the old adhesive up. I didn't use any heat.
I can't comment on compatibility of different makes though - being a bit OCD I'd probably stick to what the manufacturer recommends.
