In the spirit of real places for real people, how about a couple of properly waterside properties in that there Cornwall for normal-people budgets?

Enjoy being on the water?
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/150930002#/...

More space needed?
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/150307628#/...

Neither selling quickly.

Both places are right up my street and absolutely pawn for me yes

I'd take the second property, for the bit of extra privacy it affords.

They both seem pretty cheap - anything wrong with the location?

Not in my experience, they're just not in any of the Devon and Cornwall hot spots. Probably because they're not really coastal.

confused They couldn't be nearer the sea without being underwater. The boathouse is a leasehold and cannot be a holiday let, presumably a condition of the lease, both will be affecting the price.

They are very nice. I prefer the 2nd one too.
Larger, private, bigger plot.

It's a river rather than the sea, which probably doesn't count as coastal.

Does it come with the Mcintosh amps and B&W 801 (802?) speakers? That integrated amp is worth 15k on its own, let alone the >30k speakers, plus streamers etc. Always love seeing something like that, looks like they have another set-up in the 'day-room'.
And I bet those chairs didnt come off ebay either!

They're on the river Tamar. Very close to the sea but not like some of the SW coastal towns and villages with their superb beaches.

Frankly that's an idiotic price! laugh

Who do they think is going to ever buy that? Elon Musk? Jeff Bezos?

The richest person I've ever met. Huge net worth. Times 100 list! (For the avoidance of doubt. I cannot call them a friend or anything, I doubt he even remembers me really) lives within about 2 miles of there. And his HOUSE (not apartment) was less than 20% of that price! laugh These "luxury developers" and their tasteless estate agents have ZERO idea about how the REAL uber rich, low profile types live and what they desire!

Well, indeed. No idea if this is better or not, but it’s larger, you own the whole building, and it’s less than 10% of the price.

Not saying I’d prefer it, but surely in value for money terms there are limits?
