Right next to public transport and it's a lot of money to buy 6 months of the year in shade.
Wasn't the one three doors down (pic 3) on here previously (last year or so)?

Desperate for a bit of vegetation to break up the otherwise bland brickwork but that’s a cool thing for six figures.

Bleak as it is, but as you say, some planting would help.

Absolutely. Some planting, the odd hill. A tree or two...

If it was a few miles South around Sleaford it would have a little more visual interest as Lincolnshire hasn't ironed that bit yet.

It's been manicured to within an inch of it's life. And then a bit more.

I thought the ideal positioning was to have the top of the TV level with your eyes when sitting down?

If that's right then if anything that TV is too high!

I think if you wanted to take all the stone buildings and the house and turn it into one house based around the courtyard, knocking down the other buildings to form an outside space you'd need an awful lot more than £1 million.

The issue is it's right by the road side if it was down a private lane into the fields to the side it would have been snapped up.

It’s also got a public footpath running through the back of the farmyard from the adjoining field to the road, so I imagine that would also deter some folk. We’ve used the path quite regularly for years and have seen the farmhouse gradually deteriorate through neglect. Shame really.

Please forgive me for posting a house completely ruined by such an insurmountable problem which nobody could possibly overcome.rolleyes
Well does have a public car park next to it which for me would qualify as an insurmountable problem, nice house though.

Proper dogging spot that (I'd imagine.. so I've heard etc...)

That's not a selling point is it?

I could spend the rest of my days there.

The house itself is nice, but it's rather spoiled by being on that busy road with a carpark and a pub immediately next door. You wouldn't get a lot of peace there, especially in summer when you want to be out in the garden.

I didn't realise it was quite so close to that pub. However, I do actually know that particular pub it is very nice indeed. The food is very good.

That road isn’t busy, but the one that runs adjacent is.

The pub is a massive hiker hang out all year round.

The pub and its car park are in addition to the public car park which is right next to the house, I think pre covid living in a tourist spot was OK but these days with the way people are it's a no from me.

I have canoed past a few times - a lovely building from the river. Askham is great as well, and not far to Penrith. I do think you might get some motorway noise though...hmm.

Been there a few times and can’t say I’ve noticed any motorway noise, it’s a decent village. They’re apparently moving the restaurant to Sharrow Bay on Ullswater.
