Picture 7, aka Family Room, gives some 2001: A Space Odyssey vibes.
All it needs is a big black fridge.

(And departure from this corporeal realm.)
((Maybe that's where the vendor went...))

A committed design...

You can't accuse it of being bland or boring.

I like the Viking long ship dining table.

I love it when folk go all out and decorate exactly how they like it.

Kudos to them.

Love it. Some tasteful updates would make it a humdinger.
Living in what looks like half of Buckingham Palace wouldn't appeal to me.

Had to stop looking after five pics as my eyes were hurting. The removals bill will be a tidy sum.

You would REALLY need to like golf to drop £7m on that.
That's fantastic but £7m is utterly ridiculous. The only way that makes sense is if (as someone else has said) you rent it out for extortionate sums to wealthy Americans for 6 months of the year.

It will either be bought by a large company or a very wealthy golf lover.
Probably American.

It's the holy grail of golf and a corporate invite to play the old course would be the top of the tree for many people.

Hard to believe they got planning permission for that design.

I think the placement of the bathroom cabinet is genius. The mould, less so...

It would take a brave person to open that toilet lid...
Is that the ladies toilet from the bar in Desperado ? FML
Issue is it was a tenant farm, so the chap living there wouldn't want to put any money in...not that sheep farming is lucrative anyway. If the owners renovate the property then any costs go onto the rent and so the rent goes up massively. Bog will be fine, he's an awesome bloke but in his 80's with the tenancy coming to and end it's why it's in the state it is. Quite frankly it's a daft old system, if the owners had invested in upkeep and maintenance they'd be looking at the best part of a £1m for the property. Our place is similar but has been in private ownership since 1979, so it's well sorted.

The rental income though, would be immense. Even when the Open isn't on! Could probably get a return in a few years.
