Our new 4 month old kitten seems to have quite watery eyes.

Nothing major but she constantly has some brown sleep type gunk on the corners of her eyes near her nose. Doesnt seem to bother her and she doesnt scratch or try to wipe them.

Normal?

Ours had conjunctivitis when we got him, is the eyelid red rather than pink? A week or so of eye drops cleared it up, then he had it in the other eye, so we ended up doing both eyes at once, then the other cat caught it... Hasn't come back though and it's been a good 8 months now.

I'd say it's normal. Cats and dogs get this to varying degrees. My pup always seems to get "sleep type gunk" in the same place us humans get it, I just wipe it off when I notice it.

If it becomes pus coloured then it might be the signs of an infection as can overly watery eyes - might be best to get it checked out to be on the safe side.

The black/brown mega-sticky stuff seems to be normal. Of our three one produces very little, one a bit and the little girl huge amounts.

Either gently remove with your fingernail or a moist bit of cotton wool if it's dried on.

XS gunk in the eyes means either XS production or decreased drainage of tears from the eyes. Increased production can be down to things like infection or eyelashes at odd angles irritating the eyes. These issues should be assessed and treated if necessary, so unfortunately a trip to the thieving veterinary profession is recommended to see if there is a problem that requires treatment or if it something that can be left.
