Great work Gary !
Thanks, but I do very little but turn up with my dog a few times a year. Something we both enjoy. The hard work is done by all those lovely ladies in the picture above.
They turn out in all weather (west cost of Ireland) and all manage to keep a smile on their faces

Such a cutie! Life with dogs is never boring, that’s for sure! They bring so much love and joy into our home, but every now and then, they bring a little extra—like fleas. I’ve been looking into treatments and came across Nexgard Without Vet Prescription, which seems super convenient. Has anyone tried it? Or are there other products you swear by? I’d love to hear what’s worked for your pets. Keeping my pups healthy and comfortable is my top priority, and any advice from fellow dog lovers would be amazingEdited by beniv on Monday 23 December 21:57
Big love to Gary and Meeko and all the other gorgeous dogs
Seth fell in the river last night and was (thankfully) trapped between the bank and the boat and didn’t get dragged out in to the strong flow. I managed to pull him out and dry him off and get him in front of the log burner.
It’s not affected him and we’ve been on the new boat today tidying up and planning our refit.

JRTs are the best!!!
My first time looking after one and they’re certainly huge characters. This breed must have a canine variant of ADD I reckon…..! We walked 23km over the past two days and she could have carried on and done far more I reckon, as she was chasing her ball for large parts of it as well and didn’t seem to tire, I did!
Went up and around some tors and she has incredible agility on the large rock formations and is super nimble, plus she’ll happily wade through a stream without even thinking about it.
I don’t know if it’s common of JR terriers but she eats anything she can find…. Clods of grass, poo, sticks, food scraps, it literally doesn’t seem to bother her, I’ve never known such a junk hoover
She isn’t at all social with other dogs, and can be quite aggressive, but she quickly became very trusting of me, so we have had lots of nice cuddles. Leaving tomorrow and I won’t forget this lovely part of the country, and a great dog (she’s snoring away next to me now).

I’m doing my final house/dog-sit of the year, staying in a cottage in the middle of Dartmoor in Devon, looking after a 3-year old Jack Russell named Jet.
Arrived earlier today, and she is a really lovely and fun dog, so I’m hoping we can get some decent walks in over the next few days.
Gorgeous. Don’t t think you can get better than a Jack Russell. Arrived earlier today, and she is a really lovely and fun dog, so I’m hoping we can get some decent walks in over the next few days.
