If you see Teddy at the Annual Service, come and say hi!
I think you must have been typing this when I interrupted you earlier. Great to see Teddy enjoying his day!

Thank you to the lurking reader that has bought Teddy some pigs ears. He loves them!

And also, a shout out to departing feature writer Mike Duff, thanks for the tag in your piece. No need for tears though, the big lummox is quite happy.

He's taking to sleeping at the foot of our stairs, Teddy, not Mike, and it's quite reassuring to wonder what has woken you at 0323 in the morning...only to hear the sonorous rhythmic snoring 'guarding' us.

He's clearly a northerner then (Teddy, not Mike) as they "go to the foot of our stairs".
I realise you probably don't use this phrase in the land of the long white cloud, but it is much used here oop north.
Our present re-homed idiot regularly sleeps at the bottom our our stairs, waiting for the next meal time.

I read Mike's piece too, and then re-read this thread and re-lived my emotions at the time.
Tears were shed.....again.
My wife wondered what was the matter with me when I appeared for dinner.

Strange that you are woken at 0323. Back in the 1980s I had a cat we adopted, a stray we called Muffin. Our thatched cottage was open plan, and Muffin liked to come to bed with us and go to sleep purring down my right ear. Later in the night he would be found wrapped around the top of my head, but he developed the habit of waking me at 0324 every morning to ask to go out. Never 0323 or 0325. I swear he could read my digital clock.

I suspect it is more elderly bladder related than Teddy, but I'll go with Teddy for now so I don't have to admit to getting old.

Quite familiar wit northern expression lad, son is at UoY, so so all's reet with thee.

So pleased you made it! I’d reached out to PH to see if they could send Teddy something from the wish list & they responded with the tickets as the wish list was completed at that point!

I was looking forward to shaking your have in person & meeting Teddy, unfortunately migraine meant I was unable to drive that weekend frown

Ahh, such a shame!

He'd have loved to meet you. He's a very sociable big lump. Needs careful introduction to other dogs, but fine with all humans.

Currently a bit of a job on with a ham hock...

So, not knowing Teddy's birthday exactly, the closest being "we think he was born in September" my dear wife has decided that Teddy's birthday is going to be September 1st.

So she baked him a cake to a Battersea Dogs Home recipe, he had the neighbour's around, and had a little party this morning.

Later, he's having a huge chewy beef hide and probably a few pigs ears.

Teddy is such a lovely boy. He's biggest, softest inoffensive dog I've ever met. He's loving life and is so grateful to all you Pistonheaders that sent him stuff. He's fitted in so well, we love him to bits.

I've got to say, the look on his face, sporting the pink hat says, if this cake doesn't deliver, I'm going to murder you in your sleep for this humiliation.
