America - city break or winter sun?

I stayed in West Orange (New Jersey) in an AirBnB earlier this year - but only drove the 1 day (Sunday afternoon) into Manhattan (I just checked where the nearest AmTrak station were in relation to where I was staying (beware some of them have limited service over the weekend) in case I wanted to venture into Manhattan during the week.

I had a car the whole time as was visiting the office in New Jersey this time (so made no sense to stay in Manhattan)

Get a map of the train stations (majority of them go into Penn Station which serve New Jersey) Not the most salubrious of stations however .....
