Yes but can you narrow it down a bit? Car & cake enthusiasts might recognise the exact spot.

Tour t'Yorkshire? Don't know.

That's it, it's the hill past The Carding Shed which includes The Oil Can Cafe, a local mecca for petrol heads.

Blimey, has everyone crawled under a rock cos of brexit?

Interesting pic. Big bits of cogs and engineering bits, looks a bit like an abandoned mine or quarry.

The cliff has a reddish hue, somewhat ferrous in colouration.

Are we in Australia perhaps?

Not correct location but Wiccan has right idea, abandoned workings of surface mine, for a slightly unusual product I would say.

rofl

You might not be far wrong, if this is Chile/Peru. The cogs aren't huge mining cogs, I've seen mining equipment and it's huge. This will be surface or open cast mining, and the product is either light weight, or scarce. I think light weight.

We're next to the coast, so probably more to do with loading on to ships, as opposed to actual mining.

As for the bird poo comment, well if we're in Chile or Peru... it could very well be chile saltpetre being mined. There's a lot of that in bird poo.

Alternatively, I could simply be pissing in the wind and managed to humiliate myself in the most epic manner imaginable. Tomayto/tomarto.....

Looks a bit like the old salt pans and factory on Sal in the Cape Verdes.
