The memory kinda lingers.
Which one of those words are you sick of hearing?
CanAm has triple posted that phrase on this thread:

“debank”, otherwise known as closing somebody’s account.
When did the word you’ve never heard of start to annoy you?
Strange post. It’s been used fairly extensively in the coverage of the Farage account closure.

Debank and similar words such as deplane are obvious Americanisms that have found their way into the mother language.

Enjoy it - It drives me mad when top sportspeople say 'I just need to out there and enjoy it.' WTF? You need to go the fk out there and win or work as hard as you. Enjoy it? fk off.

Talking to people as an age group - gen z ers, millenials, boomers etc

Is anyone actually so narrow minded as to believe that every human on the planet aged within 10 years of each other have the same beliefs and actions?

I switch off as soon as anyone uses those phrases. Probably makes me a snowflake........
Nope, I'm with you on this. Pathetically narrow minded, and often a lazy way to insult an entire group of people.

These so called Gen Z people who blame "boomers" for absolutely everything that's wrong in their life are pathetic, as if they would have done anything different, does it occur to them that boomers didn't plan anyone's downfall, nor are they all rich and prosperous like the seem to believe.

Is it really so hard to treat people on a person by person basis?
The whole 'boomer' business in general is somewhat irritating. Yes, older people tend to have more money than younger people, but there are solid demographic reasons for that. The oldest baby boomers are, by now, quite old. There is a correlation between income and life expectancy across the board, ergo those who are still alive today are likely to be the better off end of the cohort. There are, and were, poor boomers, working class boomers and so on but statistically more will now be brown bread than middle class boomers so they get forgotten.

Staying with this, there are precious few genuine boomers who will have any direct impact upon Generation Z. The kids of that group are too young to have boomer parents, generally speaking, and there are few real boomers left of working age. The argument, nowadays, is Generation Z vs Generation X and older Millennials. But then the boomer is like the Karen: a folk devil who is actually quite elusive when you try and track him down.

String a few together to wind up the offending party ‘Thanks for reaching out in your work space to cover off.’

Where do these phrases/words originate?

Tossers.

Indeed. Everything is locally produced, how in the hell can you produce something in a place other than where it's produced?

So you agree with Jeenyus161, then go on to use the very generalisation he is criticising? After calling it pathetically narrow minded and lazy too. Irony?
