Plus iirc the Prius with those weird zigzag LED strips wiggling up and down the arse.

Don't know why but just furious
There's an initial wtf is that moment when you spot one some distance ahead in the dark. It would be even more annoying if the LED strip continued along the the spoiler.

In a similar vein I find many of the LED strip indicators just as annoying, some are obscured by large bright LED tail lights and their rolling LED light show mode of operation just isn't as as visible to my eyes as a flashing indicator.

This picture doesn't convey how bright it is down our country lanes but trust me they are horrific.

I have a coworker who puts an 'S' onto the end of words when he speaks.

Let me just go and grab my laptops.
Could you pass me the pens.
I'm off to a meetings.
I'm on leave tomorrows.
I had to stop for petrols.

I think I might kicks hims in his heads

Mind you I'm going to be on the other side of this annoyance for some as later this year will have daily vehicle on the drive with in my opinion excessively small but bright rear led lights and indicators. They pass C&U regs but even so. grumpy Sorry about that. paperbag

I'm with you both on this one. Those long strip lights, especially the 'animated' indicator ones, always remind me of the tacky light shows at funfairs... so you're basically turning your car into a dodgem car

I'm afraid that I'm now also culpable in this regard. The rear indicators on our Kona, although LED are fine but the tail and brake lights - oh dear. They seem to be very nearly as bright as some brake lights. For the full retina searing rear red headlights effect just tap the brake pedal.

Was never a fan when these were launched, and they did remodel them pretty quick. But after 20 years of UK roads being full of identikit dreary grey diesel Audi's they do at least make a change.

I now we've had this before, but people who just message "Hi" in a work environment. Be it on Teams, Whatsapp, whatever.

Someone just did it to me, after I'd been chasing them with very specific questions for a day. They then called me one minute after messaging "Hi" (which I hadn't seen), to say "Hi" on the phone and nothing else. So we're sat there in silence until I literally have to say "What do you want?". rofl To which the reply is "Can we catch up on Teams?". They want me to Teams call them, when I'm literally speaking on the phone already. Nearly packed up and left for the day it was too early for this level of fkery.

Sometimes I wonder how people have made it this far through life.

Our birth rate fell below the level required to maintain demographic stability back at the end of the Sixties, life expectancy continued to rise, but retirement age didn't.
Don't worry, the NHS are working hard to reverse this hehe
This winter should see off about 4000 pensioners now the winter fuel allowance has been cut.

Searching for train tickets on Trainline and it insists on showing you trains late the night before you want to go and early the day after you want to come back, apparently it's because 'Some of the below options depart on a different day to your search date. We show you these to give you more choice.'
No it's not, it means you can put up headline rate cheap ticket prices even though they're no use to me unless I want to sleep on a platform or pay £150 quid to stay in a hotel.
tts.

Yeah same person who messaged me "Hi" did exactly the the other day as well, called me to ask had I seen their email.

I think there was a whole thread on this wasn't there, email/teams etc etiquette.

If you need something quick and urgent, call me. If you don't mind me getting back in a few hours, email.

If you're too scared to speak to someone and you're happy with never knowing when you're getting a response, instant message rofl

People like an audit trail, hence wanting to talk to you on teams rather than a phone, and sending emails then following up with a call. Arse covering. Ain't saying it's right or not annoying, but that's the reason.

If anything I find people who don't want an audit trail tend to call (or drop by your desk).

If you want something to be official, put it in a ticket. People who call or teams are trying usually just trying to get someone sles to do thwir job for them without there being an official record of it.

Doubly so for people who just say "hello" with no followup. They've usually hello'd the entire team and just looking to hook the first responder with "can I call" so there's no paper trail.
