I also prefer a written record at work. Not just for arse covering, but also so I can refer back and give the person exactly what they want without my old, tired brain forgetting things. Also when you can barely understand the person you're speaking to on the phone (quite common with our Indian friends), then it eliminates the language barrier.
Also with a written record and assuming that records are more widely accessible then in the case where someone is not available, eg holiday, sick, away travelling, then AN Other can pick up an issue and run with it and do so fully informed. There's nothing worse than being landed with something urgent and the info you need is at best in a disorderly pile on someone's unattended desk.
A proper CRM type system diligently used and configured can seem anal but really works.

New bottles of water with the tethered lids.
I am quite liking the new style lids, saves clumsy people like me dropping them on the deck.Once you automatically get in the habit that you rotate the open lid to the side to drink out of the bottle then it is no impediment.

People who don’t simply write “I quite like”.Once you automatically get in the habit that you rotate the open lid to the side to drink out of the bottle then it is no impediment.

The parking outside my kids school is a bit of a nightmare and as a result the traffic grinds to a bit of a halt.
Frustrating if you're not actually collecting children I'm sure but the level of moron you have to be to floor it in Frustration when there is more than 10m of space in front of you is incomprehensible to be me.
Well done you've run over a 4 year old but atleast you made a lot of noise and impressed the rest of us with your judgement and intellect.
Almost every day too.

Not good on a bottle you have to shake though and now the lid is full of drink and drips down your work shirt.
I appreciate the drive for recycling and reducing litter but I honestly can't recall seeing anyone throw away a bottle lid before. The benefit of a bottle vs a can is you can close the lid and save some for later so there's an incentive to retain the lid. And if someone is determined to litter they'll throw the lid and bottle in the street.Maybe I've missed the purpose of it though.

I agree. It's a solution to a non-problem. Maybe I've missed the purpose of it though.

Is that right? I never knew that. I might have to start aggregating my foil into larger lumps. Doofus said:
