Here’s a timely example of where this behaviour leads. He’s talking like this to a policeman while recording himself. That’s how much he believes what he says.

Good grief, another one of these lectures/courses (that are usually free) on how to make big bucks, with the intention of getting you to then sign up for another course and another course at a cost of thousands so that the so-called 'expert' can teach you the tricks before leaving the ball in your court.

Even Robbie Fowler is running and making money off them. For crying out loud: Robbie Fowler.

If any initial course/talk is free then I would say go, not only to laugh at the gimmicks, outright gullible mugs in the audience and the stooges/plants, but to get fed. Yes. They usually put on plenty of food and drink.

First one of these I went to in 2013 had one of the best buffets I have ever attended and was being run by an American entity spearheaded an from Utah called Shaun Shelton. Great big propaganda-esque poster of him in the foyer to a conference room in a semi-rural out-of-town Yorkshire hotel.

Plenty of stories I could narrate based on my observations, but I made up a name for myself that evening and called myself Trevor, which was fun.

Cuddly Australian lady plant was there who had apparently flown in with them on their UK tour, who testified about how she had her doubts at first but how easy and reassuring it was and now she's rolling in the dosh. I did some research about him and found out on a New Zealander blogger's website that he had toured New Zealand or Oz I think. I e-mailed the blogger about his thoughts and he told me about the BS he sniffed.

One memorable bit was every now and then he would exclaim "everybody! Everybody write this down!!! [insert unverified statistic about US properties]" - quite literally everybody obeyed and attentively scribbled whatever it was down

Anyway in the last few years Shaun Shelton (whose tours were about buying properties in the US) was jailed back in the US for something else unrelated.

Another (slapstick caper-filled) show I went to was run by Gill Fielding's Fielding Financial (some lady who was on Channel 4. Secret Millionaire or something).

Muggins speaker stood wearing the same shirt and tie as in every single video clip and leaflet, amongst other things told us about how he was desperate to make extra money and now he had "broken free." The lights susdenly dimmed and there was a video montage projected of Gill Fielding, our new spiritual overlord and financial saviour, with 'I Want to Break Free' by Queen being blasted through the speakers.

Other facepalm moments: "it's about how quick you are! The first person to reach me here at the microphone will get this copy of Gill Fielding's book for just £1". About half a dozen people literally lept out of their seats for that.

"Let's compare being working for someone else versus working for yourself [cons versus pros on the screen, obviously]. Now just close your eyes and imagine being financially free. Think of all those nice things you could enjoy."

Yes, people complied and were slowly wobbling their heads with huge Cheshire cat grins on their faces.

No buffet at that one, but I managed to get a nab a couple of Granny Smith apples and some Borders biscuits.
They're all like this. A close friend goes to see a Personal Trainer turned Life Coach regularly, paying £40-60 each to sit and listen to him waffle on for 2 hours about how they can be better people. When I tried to explain to him that the bulk of his income came from glossy eyed dreamers he was having none of it. I'm sure there are snippets of useful information, but nothing you couldn't find yourself, for free. I 'wouldn't understand' apparently.

Slightly off topic but, this thread has just sent me down a rabbit hole of utter bewilderment...

While he himself seems like a bit of a 'character/cretin', its the army of 'regular' people spouting the virtues of this tripe that subsequently impresses upon other naive youngsters (YouTube comments) that I find troubling...

Case in point.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM17xLuuG_w

What the feck is he actually babbling on about?

It genuinely blows my mind that there is a group of people that aspire to be anything like this kind of person.

Could you imagine being in the same bar or restaurant with a loud mouthed flash idiot like this. Just be cringe.

There is a video out there of him at the F1 last year loudly declaring it not a sport and he could easily do it.

He seems to be very successful, but he's got "fake it, till you make it" written all over him. The major social media platforms have decided he poses a real danger to young men and those poor 'INCEL' types and it’s hard to argue with them.

Either by luck or judgment he’s positioned himself perfectly, to adolescent Boys and desperate Men, he looks like a God, they crave his confidence and arrogance and like ‘Tommy Robinson’ he’s been able to monetise that. The 'Hustlers University" is nothing more than a MLM scam. $49 a month and you too can be like Tate, scammers have been selling the same st forever and if anyone tells you different, they’re just jealous woke pussies yeah?

That’s trick really, for $49 a month, he’s not going to teach you how to make his money, because if millions of people start trying to get into his swindle, then some will succeed and he’ll be pushed out, no he’s going to teach you how to make him even more money.

You can use sarcastic links.

I'm in my 60's, happily married and retired.

I'm not "taken in" but I can see some of his points being true. I don't agree with everything but nothing I've listened to in long-form content has been worthy of cancelling.

He's not had any convictions for violence to women and journalists have apparently approached his ex girlfriends none of whom have came forward even with reported offers of "bribes" to give such news........

After reading your comments in other threads I'm not surprised you've been taken in by headlines without any evidence to back them up.

I think he made his money kick boxing ex world champion etc. Then invested it into cam girls.

Not quite fake it until you make it but definitely keeping how he actually made his money quiet.

Yeah maybe, I doubt it's "act like a knob on Tiktok and make other knobs love you".

I'm not sure there's much money in Kick Boxing? Maybe if he'd made the leap to MMA.

He's recorded - in a video he uploaded himself - as saying he moved to Romania and said "about 40% of the reason" was that it's easier to get away with rape.

Is that part of what you don't agree with, or some of his points being true?

He's an agitator, and obviously very good at it. He knows that by making controversial statements he'll get more exposure, when your target audience is disillusioned young men any exposure is good. I remember watching a video whereby he was invited onto a Podcast of some sort, and they proceeded to tell him how much they disliked him and he'd been invited on as a joke, he quite rightly pointed out that all they'd done is increase his exposure and most likely traffic to his various websites, and he thanked them for inviting him on for free publicity.

Despite people's views about him, he's clearly not stupid.

Only became familiar with him after the 'he's worse than Hitler' type proclamations and banning from various social media platforms.

For the sake of interest, watched a couple of his interviews. Some of his points were reasonable and I agree with others totally batst. I didn't feel he came across especially well in the Piers Morgan interview.

Claims to have been a chess prodigy at the age of 4-5 (apparently his dad was a chess International Master). TBF, I believe his kick boxing World Champion claims are accurate (if somewhat overinflated).

As for Hustler's University, as has been said already, likely Forex tradereque type affair I'd wager. FWIW, the 8 hourlessons free on YouTube.

I don't think one should be surprised at his success given the current disenfranchisement of boys and men in society.

I went to a Fielding Financial one a while ago and the speaker couldn't even get the PowerPoint working. The basic spiel seemed to be 'buy houses, get rich.' Absolutely no understanding of property investment yet were trying to flog courses for a good few hundred quid. I got slowly tanked up while watching and kept asking awkward questions.
As for Tate, like so many divisive figures he has a few good points, but then negates them with the moronic rubbish. 15/16 is still a kid, so definitely not the kind of role model he needs.

Umm

No, that's not what was said, was it?

Let's check that out.

He actually said

“It's 40 per cent of the reason I moved to Romania,” Tate said: “I’m not a f****** rapist, but I like the idea of just being able to do what I want. I like being free."

He has subsequently gone on in long form discussions to talk about accessibility to corruption. That in the UK / USA etc to be able to access corruption you need to be incredibly rich or powerful. That in other countries such as Romania this accessibility to corruption is more easily accessed.by normal people.

It was not an excuse to rape women. It was more in terms of being able to get away with speeding or other things.

As I said, I don't agree with everything he says but the above clips seem pretty true?

You can try and take things out of context from a 15-20 second clip that's not got explanation around it then of course you will have these incorrect opinoins.. As I said, maybe try listening to a long form discussion (podcast etc)

I'd recommend this one. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv-C4CVGk28

Do you love me?

Everywhere I post, you make comments.

If you want my number, I'll let you take me out for dinner.

I may be either, both, or neither. Who knows. I don't care what people think. I believe I'm reasonably balanced about most things but you may disagree.

Reading a few lines of a (sometimes) heated discussion without context or ability to express things in tone or in more detail (speaking is always easier than writing in that regard) is not enough information to determine whether someone is a or not smile
