The living room death-stairs...!

I think what's happened there is that the stairs used to be in a hallway, and the wall and door separating it from the living room has been removed, and the new deathtrap stairs fitted.

Potentially high price to pay for a larger, draughtier living room.

Was used to comic effect by Rumpole in the TV series (I've not read the books) but the original She-Who-must-be-Obeyed comes from the 1887 Novel "She" by Ryder Haggard:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/She:_A_History_of_...

Made into a film in 1965 and notable for Ursual Andress in the titular (correct use of the word) role....

I'd quite happily obey Ursula Andress smile

Supposedly Haggard's "She" (SWMBO) has effectively started and heavily influenced fantasy science fiction ranging from Lord of the Rings through to Indiana Jones.

Most recently there has been a Marvel powerful woman character sharing the name "Ayesha".

Marvel = Council.

I'll get my coat....

Facebook Marketplace is so relentlessly council. I see a lot of items with 'NEEDS GONE' in the description. What does that mean? It is assumed they want rid of the item otherwise they would not have listed it for sale!
Maybe they mean their need for their chavvy tat has gone.
Or maybe they are just semi literate cretins.

My guess would be both of the above.

Obviously there is no urgency with Need Gone. If you are a cretin, you list it as NEED GONE 2NITE or NEED GONE BY 5PM showing both urgency and desperation and opening yourself to lowball offers.

Yep we ended up there last weekend with my mum who we thought had sepsis, I'd say a good 80% were on the full on council spectrum.

Taunton (Musgrove) A&E on a Saturday at 11pm until nearly 3am Sunday. There was us and a young lady with a small child that actually needed genuine medical attention, the rest has either mental health or drugs issues or a combination of both. Not sure if council or tragic, but it was not a nice place to be.

Imagine working there.
Last time I was in A and E on a Friday or Saturday night there was the usual crowd of the drunken, the losers of fights etc, many supported by uninjured mates who could not keep quiet for a minute at a time, continually trying to argue with the reception staff.

That staff was one young man, who never lost his cool, always calmed down the idiots, and was generally a nice guy. And there must be lots more like him. A job I could never do. Brilliant.

FaceTime in public is just council. Should be jail time.

Worryingly if the 86yo lives to 100 then there is the chance of a 7th generation.

Chapeau to the 50yo for beating the trend set by 86 and 68 and giving birth at 15.

Also concerning that it is easier to refer to them by their ages rather than by mother, grandmother etc.
