Fab day here in the Channel, lovely sunrise over the islands turned into a warm spring like day, cold wind sets in tomorrow, on a side note my son who's a ski instructor in Banff said the temp was - 27 last night.

Quite usual for Feb ^ . We've got "travel not recommended" advisories all around us now , highways are turning into goat trails , with the wind picking up tonight I fully expect them to be closed by the morning . 'KIN WINTER .

Very glad we decided against skiing in Banff this year.

Christ O'Lordy the easterly wind is making it feel bloomin' cold here today on the Mercia/Wessex frontier. The border guards don't look happy.

Coldest I've felt all winter. I'd rather it was -10c, still and sunny than +4c, grey, damp and windy. This really is the worst type of weather winter can summon IMHO.

Thoroughly miserable in the south east. A bit windy, rainy and it couldn't be more grey

I feel my calling in life is to challenge the perception of miserable Scottish weather. Another cracking winters sunny day here in the NE.

(#sorry #notsorry )

(You’ll have the last laugh in the summer though!)

Driving tomorrow. Berks to Leicester to Wigan to Leicester and back to Berks. Was planning on doing a scenic cross-country route on the way up via Winnats Pass, having a wee lunch break thereabouts in that Peak District.

Will I get snowed on and stuck like a lemon?

The forecasts vary at the moment, but they seem to agree that the Peaks will get a good few CM of snow... and last time that happened the police had to close Winnats Pass as the hard of thinking decided it was acceptable to 'park' their cars wherever they thought it was OK to do so.

I'd avoid Winnats pass for that reason as it'll be clogged up with the Mam Tor 'waddle few yards from the car, drop some litter and leave' brigade.

Been cold all day in cardiff started sleeting when i left work, soon as i got home up the valleys turned to snow. My cat decided he only wanted out for a quick toilet break before flying back in the house and is now curled up in a ball by side of me. Dont think he be going out any time soon.
