Yep I'm on the cusp. My profile fits more Pisces than Aquarius so I consider myself as a fishy.
"So what star sign is he?""Err, Capricorn"
"Capricorn eh? What are they like?"
"He is the son of God, our Messiah, King of the Jews"
"And that's Capricorn, is it?"
"No no no, that's just him"
"Oh, I was going to say, there'd be a lot of them otherwise"
Good old Brian

Happy Hammo birthday
does that make you a Pisces ? right on the edge of the previous star sign that I can't be bothered to look up which it is .
Just found out that Walter Rohrl is also a Pisces , as am I , and Slopes and DC of this parish .

Us Aquarians love li'l fishies!

How are the woofers doing?
Perhaps Magoo could lend them a hand?
Eye yam back, sans spectacles.
These, as the ver, ver lovely young lady explained, were still at "the lab" because they had managed to chip one of the lenses for my sunglasses, so the lens had to be re-made. And they didn't want to just send the other pair, they wanted to send them both together.
The ver, ver lovely young lady has promised to phone me tomorrow morning with a nupdate. Or something. I was having difficulty concentrating.
Happy Birthday, Hammo!

You should have asked her if she wouldn't mind seeing you home, in view of the fact that you couldn't see any way wivvout yer noo specs.
You see?
Still, at least you didn't make a spectacle of yourself by going loupey.
TBH, It's a poor "lab"oratory that doesn't carry a large stock of lens blanks, fauryvocal or otherwise. Do they mould all the lenses in-house?
Perhaps I'm way behind the strange modern ways of Zero stockholding, "Just-In-Time, low-cost methodology business practices???

She could at least have given you a quick flash by way of compensation, even though it's not your birthday...

I have just received wonderful news from ns&i (SUNDERLAND)
They have informed me that I have won a prize!
Yes, one of my Premium Bonds that I purchased in the late 1970s has come up trumps and I am now clutching my prize warrant, valued at a most welcome...
£25.00
There'll be celebrations Chez glenrobbo this evening,
And no mistake!

Where did the Sunderland come into this equation? Flying boat ownership and the accrual of money are unlikely bed fellows in my experience. YES! YES!! YES!!!

No1 son, Dan, asked his brother, Tom, and me for a bit of advice on finishing an area of ceiling he has re-platerboardededed. I replied first imparting years of Applied Bodgery nollij. Tom then replied with an impressive How To list with detailed guidance.
Suitably hastened, I needed to admit his scheme was better.

It turns out that the ns&i Premium Bond Initiative has located to the fair city of I would have expected anything Bond-related to be based in the Newport Pagnell branch of MFI, but I realise they had to relocate when the recession caused a huge decline in DIY and the Secret Service went bust.
Meanwhile, our beloved Sunderland lies forlornly, sadly neglected, moored in Upper Trivton Reservoir that feeds the canal in sad need of some serious care and attention.
( The Sunderland, not the canal. )
And now:
Back to the studio.

I have just enjoyed a large helping of delicious chicken satay that I cooked from scratch using only the finest freshest ingredients apart from some of my frozen finger chillies and a can of coconut milk and peanut butter from a tub and curry powder. Oh, and half a tube of tomato purée, a chicken stock cube and some salt that is probably a million years old or so, sourced from a dried-up lake bed in Gondwanaland.
I have to say, it was exceedingly tasty.

I made macaroni cheese with crispy ham. By myself, without a supervising adult.
It was rather good I thought. Surprisingly so, since I was a bit tiddly when I cooked it.
I have just been catching up with trivia, where I learned some very welcome titbits concerning Italian motorsport. Thank you Mr W i d e b o d y.
I recall a Panda that my dear Daddy owned briefly that had been blessed with a 1600 twincam engine which had begun it's career in a Delta, of the Lancia ilk.
Liked his toys, did 404Snr.
It was a lively little thing. My Beta Volumex couldn't catch it in the twisty bits of rural Aberdeenshire.
Well it might have done, with a better driver. We'll never know now.
Happy birthday to whoever it was. My younger son has a birthday tomorrow. He and my daughter are arriving soon to stay for a couple of days, with their respective spice.
(Plural of spouse, although they only have one each).
No doubt they will severely deplete the stock of victuals in the House of 404.
The boy is chef, which generally means plenty of kitchen clear-uppage to be performed in his wake.

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywhere
Aahhhh Thursday here you are!!!
Hopefully my boss is back today so I can stop pretending to be in charge and actually get on with some work!!!
I have an awful habit of chewing the dry skin around my fingernails and I managed to tear a chunk out yesterday which is rather sore this morning.
Congratumalations to those preparing gastronomic excellences yesterday, I actually enjoy cooking, and good luck sorting out your kitchen after your son has finished with it Error 404.
I keep meaning to say I'm mightily impressed with your ground works Magoo, do you draw any of it out or just set too and work it out as you go?
