I have no idea what the hell is going on here.

My left arm has always given me a little bit of trouble, when surfing it was always the first to feel sore or ache, and I could not lift the same weight with my left as I could with my right.

Historically its always operated at about 90% of the right arm in terms of strenght and lift capacity.

This week the damn thing has been getting weaker and weaker and has now dropped to around 30% the power of the right side and it hurts when I try to do any kind of work or activity.

As you can imagine this is causing me hassle, I think it is muscle damage, whan I lift my arms up together the left side gets a sort of pulling cramping feeling about a third of the way down between my shoulder and elbow, the muscles feel knotted.

My shoulder on the left side now seems to click a lot and grind, the right does not.

I often wake in the night with pins and needles in my left arm.

What the hell have I done to it ? I have not had any accidents or ever broken my arm.

should I go and bother a GP or ignore it and hope it sorts itself out ?

suprascapular nerve injury? not sure about humans but in some animals it runs very close to the shoulder joint so if it gets jarred it could give a weakness and pins and needles sort of feeling.

Instead of doing 99, change hands, try 150 left arm and 50 right arm, that should build it up again in a few days!
