My Nephew has been diagnosed with this a few months back but the specialist is struggling to get it under control and he is now on the last drug before surgery

Anybody have any advice? Also anything I can do to help? I have contacted the charity and offered my help and also any charity donations are now going to this.

My nephew is 17 and at a time when he should be doing what .17 year olds do he is trapped at home

His parents are understandably to close to the issue to know what to do and have much conflicting information

Thanks

Hi,

To cut a long story short i had a flare-up of colitis early 2008 which i never really recovered from. I went through all the drug therapies which made next to no difference so i ended up having a total collectomy in 2009.

What are your concerns specifically, is it about diet and stuff or more "what happens after surgery" ?

I agree there is ALOT of conflicting stuff on the web.

Fire away and i'll see if i can help, there is a few sufferers on here that can chip in too.
