A little behind schedule since its Thursday and not Tuesday but so be it. Looking at the last few replies Easter has been a little bit challenging for most of us, but well done for sticking with it and, where necessary, refocusing to push forward into the summer.

I was no exception, we had a few days away in Prague with the associated food, drinks and Easter treats although I managed to offset it by 25k steps on the Friday and 32k steps on the Saturday. I have a wicked case of IT Band Syndrome in my right knee which is needing regular Ibuprofen and massage gun but for now I can exercise at least although I will need to see a doctor / physio at some point.

Current weight loss stands at a shade under 21kg and a loss of 1.1kg since my last entry, Ill take that! I am hoping that next week I will see 96.x and a weight somewhere around 90kg for the end of May.

- Starting Weight - 118.4kg
- Week 1 - 115.4kg (-3kg)
- Week 2 - 113.4kg (-2kg)
- Week 3 - 112.4kg (-1kg)
- Week 4 - 110.5kg (-1.9kg)
- Week 5 - 109.6kg (-0.9kg)
- Week 6 - 107.3kg (-2.3kg)
- Week 7 - 106.0kg (-1.3kg)
- Week 8 - 104.5kg (-1.5kg)
- Week 9 - 103.9kg (-0.6kg)
- Week 10 - 102.7kg (-1.2kg)
- Week 11 - 101.2kg (-1.5kg)
- Week 12 - 99.1kg (-2.1kg)
- Week 13 - No Weight Recorded
- Week 14 - 98.6kg (-0.5kg)
- Week 15 - 97.7kg (-1.1kg)

Total Lost - 20.7kg or 45.63lb or 3st 3.64lbs

134.9kg today. 0.5kg lost since my last update. Getting there again!

My short term target is 130kg. I'd like to get to this by 01/06/2025. Its doable at around 1kg a week.

In a better place head wise as well now.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
Oh man, I read your post before this one, I can only imagine some of the challenges you must face as a result of your job - hats off. Good work getting back on track, I know this sounds a bit weird but I take a strange sense of pride being part of this group losing weight together and, where necessary, supporting.

Did dip briefly into the 87kg range on the weekend but was after a hike. Once water was back on it was 88kg dead. Had a bit of a carby week with home made lasagne, weight has only fluctuated up slightly but I'll fast for today and tomorrow to see where I am really. I have the Garmin scale which says I have 20% fat which working that back means I have about 17kg of fat I could theoretically lose but doesn't seem that accurate to me since the losses in muscle and fat mirror exactly which is nonsense as my legs are as strong now as ever. I'm happy at this weight so will do more hiking and work a bit on upper body but I'm feeling the best I have for years. My hike on the weekend I did far faster than it would've done 6 months ago. I have 5 more peaks to get in South Wales then it's on to Mid and North Wales. Currently on 29 but it's more since I've done a few more than once to get to others.

1kg to go for the 25kg loss and the 80kg target reached. Slow progress now.

I like Pete’s format, so I hope you don’t mind me copying (and I’m now at your starting weight with a similar target weight).

Despite my favourite time of year Easter where I have consumed a decent amount of chocolate, I’ve still continued to loose weight as I’m a lot more conscious on if I eat something bad I need to eat less of it, exercise and not do it every day!

- Starting Weight - 127.9kg
- Week 1 - 126.7kg (-1.2kg)
- Week 2 - 124.5kg (-2.2kg)
- Week 3 - 123.7kg (-0.8kg)
- Week 4 - 121.6kg (-2.1kg)
- Week 5 - 120.8kg (-0.8kg)
- Week 6 - 119.9kg (-0.9kg)
- Week 7 - 118.8kg (-1.1kg)
- Week 7.5 - 118kg (-0.8kg) Going away so missing my normal weight in.

Total Lost - 9.9kg or 21.83lb or 1.55 stone

Somehow I'm 86.5kg this morning. Because of the cheese and cream in the week I thought I'd fast a day to clear it but it's surprising how much was hanging about and a bit more. Was doing gardening this week but not that much. Pressure washing drive tomorrow for an easy day, then a mountain Sunday as it's nice.

Thanks! Its ste at times but mostly good.

Today I'm down to 134.5kg. 12.2kg lost. Lightest I've been for two years.

Had my first late shift last night. Another three to go.

Two pounds off again this week, leaving me 6 stone 12 pounds lighter after 51 weeks. Just a week to go, two pounds to reach my target weight.

Have for the first time started to think I might just do this. A short-ish week ahead with my birthday on Thursday being the end of the challenge and a couple of pounds to go. Have a 5k run pencilled in for Wednesday morning, will try to get out on a longer walk or run tomorrow if I can and just not do anything silly food wise.

Lates finished. Not too bad. Did have a squad KFC as the Sgt is moving teams. But made up for it yesterday when I didn't eat due to jobs...small wins!

Bit of overtime tomorrow on lates and Thursday on earlies.

Gym to be booked in for Wednesday and Friday.

Weighed this morning after drinking a pint of water at 134.6kg. Happy with that.

My previous post of 130kg before 1st July is easily doable and I got confused with how many weeks away it is.

A nice round 6.0kg loss this year.

My target was 67.0kg, so I've comfortably achieved that, with a generous amount of headroom now, should I have a bad day (or three).

I am no longer striving to lose weight. But high levels of physical activity lately have meant small losses here and there. My efforts now are focused on getting faster as a runner, and riding further as a cyclist.

I think (without digging into the data) that, since December 2023, I have lost a total of 15kg. That alone surely means that the running and cycling have become easier . . . ?

Absolutely. I'm down 13kg since the start of the year and running has become significantly easier. I know we're Strava friends so you see, but set a 2nd best 10k last night on trails and a 100k 3rd best today somehow, despite being lighter in the past, but the difference not carrying so much weight makes when you do activity is mind-blowing.

Avoided this thread since my initial post and annoyingly I've gained a couple of kilos - almost touching 165kg, crazy.

Saw some photos of myself from the weekend and have had enough. This coincided nicely with a reminder from a mate that last year we discussed doing a local Sprint Triathlon so since the weekend I've managed to knock out a couple of 20km cycles. Hoping by September that a bit of weight loss and some training will see me complete the event without having to stop too many times on the 5km run, the cycling and swimming don't concern me too much as I won't be competitive at this age anyway!

Well done to those with results they are pleased with thus far, cracking effort.

I'm into the 87kg range now. Do touch 86kg but that's before taking water on again after a big hike. Not really chasing weight loss now. Only looking to get stronger and faster on hikes. Never saw me even getting this light tbh. Last time I saw 86kg I was 15.

133.8kg. 12.8kg in total.

Crossed the two stone mark in old money. Actually thinking I could get down to 125kg which would have been my starting weight with the police six years ago in July...

Weight loss for this year (start 9th Jan)

Been very easy this time just counting calories, dropping the alcohol and eating healthy. Usual amount of exercise.

I have hit my target now and need to stabilise the weight loss. Bit of a challenge as I had an op last week so exercise is much reduced for another week or 3. Also I like to drink when the weather starts to heat up so I really need to keep a lid on things.

Ideally I’ll add no more than half a stone before the end of the year so I don’t need to cut so much next year …. Though I’ve said this too many times in the past!

Obviously updated my own thread with an update this morning but I've lost three pounds this week for a total loss of 7 stone, 1 pound.

This week was without doubt the hardest of the challenge. Eight days long to round up to an exact year (365 days), I did three 5k runs, a gym session, a 17km walk with a friend and a 195k walk back from work. In addition, and I don't recommend this, I cut the calories right down and ended up consuming only just over 5k calories total from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Challenge is over now however the next job is to maybe lose a few more pounds in the next few weeks and settle at around 15 stone dead (currently 15 stone 8). I moved to Bristol in 1999 and was 15 stone 6 then so getting under that will mean most people I meet every day have never seen me so slim. I like that a lot. hehe

Good week for weight loss, bad week for my health. Had a wicked bout of D&V starting last weekend. I couldn't even keep water down, utterly horrendous rushing to the toilet every 30 minutes with nothing to throw up but knowing my luck I'd have puked up and shat on the carpet at the same time.

Finally managed to eat some chicken and drink some water today but I am now 78kg, 2kg lower than my target and feeling very weak! I'll get back on the weights next week. So total loss of 27kg.

Taking myself off to bed now!

Still some incredible results folks. I've seen a drop this week 0.7kg to get back within my 10kg-to-target zone.

I've come to realise that I can get down to 105kg easily enough with just some small tweaks to lifestyle (I can also shoot up to 110kg+ in the blink of an eye). Getting under 105kg and hopefully one day to 95kg takes a bit more effort. I'm a whole chunk lighter than after Christmas, but the same weight goes on and off over and over.

It was the end of the rowing (machine) season last month and I crept over 2 million metres for the year.
