How long till the £20k Evora?
Discussion
I think the impact to the second hand market will depend a lot on the price point of the entry level model, and how that stacks up against the 400s. 400s are in the 45-60ish bracket at the moment, which I believe is somewhere near the entry level price for the new car? So it will depend how that offering stacks up. If you had the choice between an older, 400bhp, 6 cyl lotus, and a brand new 300-and-something-bhp, 4 cyl, which would you take? I guess only offering auto on the new car is a big difference too.
Then the market forces will act. If people prefer the new car, prices of old ones will likely drop, with current owners maybe putting a glut of cars on the market to swap into the new vehicle. This then knocks down prices on Evoras across the range of price points. Alternatively, if the older car looks like the better deal, the market may tighten with people looking to acquire decent examples of the rare older car, and prices go up.

Also, the car I drove is currently not advertised online. It will be soon but will go quick.
2013, 13.5k miles auto Sport Racer Evora S. £49k.
Let me know if you're interested and can point you in their direction.
It's stunning, it's like a Nardo Grey, black interior with red stitching, reverse cam, heated seats. 2+2.
It’s Pewter Grey and I assume the sister car to mine as they only made 2 IPS S in this colour. I will be happy if they sell it at that price but it does seem a tad optimistic. Will be interesting to see.2013, 13.5k miles auto Sport Racer Evora S. £49k.

After seeing your thread I actually assumed it was your car. The spec is identical.Edited by ParanoidAndroid on Thursday 29th April 23:22
The car I test drove is online now:
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105052...
At that price I decided to wait for the right 400.

Are you certain you want a 400 (irrespective of price)? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105052...

I test drove one and preferred the Series 1.

I much prefer the look of the 400 and I found getting in and out of the S1 very difficult for daily use.
Admittedly I'm yet to drive a 400 though.
Yes sills are easier but as a GT car (which is what I needed after an Exige to do longer journeys) it wasn’t as comfortable. Suspension harder, seats harder (and at 6’3” also felt like I was sat taller) and exhaust more throaty. Admittedly I'm yet to drive a 400 though.
Good car still but if I wanted a sports car I’d have gone Exige. I wanted a more refined GT...

Ok thanks, I've heard you sit higher and people often don't like the seats.Good car still but if I wanted a sports car I’d have gone Exige. I wanted a more refined GT...
I'm 5ft 11 so I may be ok.
Hopefully a 400 comes up for sale that I like the look of and can have a test drive.

Very ambitious pricing. Seen low mileage 400’s around this price.
£10k over priced IMHO.

Looks nice. If you haven't I would advise advertising it on here. Had mine on the forums and no contacts from anyone. Put it on here and sold it within 3 days ...
I sold both my Evoras, my Tuscan, my Alpine, My Octavia Scout, my Ginetta and my Outback on here. All sold quickly to the first person to come along (Alpine was second person). Gassing Station | Evora | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
