Right, thanks all for answers to my previous questions on here. I am shockingly indecisive with cars, but I get there eventually! However, I have moved forward a bit with the sale of my GT3, leaving a lonely space in the garage. I think it's going to be filled with an Evora and the current default is a GT410 such as the one at B&C with the lovely tan interior https://www.bellandcolvill.co.uk/all-used-cars/lot... I only need mild man-maths to get to the mid-60's price (or possibly lower mid-60's with a spot of discount and shopping around).
But then there's the 430 which would require a more substantial bit of man-maths and there aren't that many of them about. Anyone got experience or views on where the 430 would be better than the 410?

Yes, very good point, although, the GT3 (sadly not RS) was beginning to be a little tedious on any bumps. It didn't need completely flat roads, but was not all that composed on mediumly bumpy A or B roads. Not enough to stop it being fabulous I hasten to add, but I'm happy to be doing something different!
But I do need to try out the GT4 as it's the obvious comparator even if I am trying to be different from my many years of Porsche ownership!!

I've had a couple of Porsche in the past and whilst the GT4 appeals I've never had a Lotus. The Evora appears to to be a fabulous sports car with GT capability and the back seats are a bonus as I have a 6 year old son. Come sake time the porker would make more sense financially.
I'll be interested in how you get on trying both. I think it was Evo magazine that preferred the GT4 over the 410 in a group test. Not seen the write up but would be interested to find out why.

Thanks for that link I'm still waiding through which is very interesting. The view is definitely mixed. Certainly at least one poster who compares the 410 and the 430 concluding that the 430 is firm and perhaps not as composed as the 410. But the majority absolutely love them and seem to use them on the road a lot.
Mind you not many used ones about and looking at them I definitely would like a bright colour. Also at 80 something for a used one, there's a lot of choice of other fun stuff.
Probably looking more to the 410 at the moment.

That's been for sale with them for a very long time, but then so have most Evoras with all the dealers. Love that colour.
My understanding is the 410 Sport was a slightly stripped out version of the 400, introduced the slatted carbon engine cover and only available as 2 seater.
I prefer the later GT410 Sport as I'd want a 2+2 and the GT refinements. If I was after a hardcore 2 seater I'd buy an Exige.

just make sure you get on with the thin carbon seats in the 410. some people find them rather uncomfortable, hence why a lot of the 430s were actually specced with the "normal" folding seats.
Also bear in mind that what tyres the cars are using plays a huge role in how the cars feel. I had michelin supersports and Cup 2s, and the difference in smoothness between the 2 was very noticeable. I am saying this just to make the point that if a particular feels a little too stiff, then changing the tyres to something like the michelin pilot sport 4s will really help.
