We've got an arranged facility of £600m, and we've got club debt of around £350m.

The stadium is pretty much finished.

So, in the last 5 years or so we have somehow managed to build a £1b stadium, plus a £100m training facility and lodge, whilst paying for some expensive players (Sanchez £42m, Sissoko 30m, Moura £25m, Aurier £23m, Janssen £17m, etc.) whilst giving key players like Kane big deals.

You do the math biggrin
OK

£1.1bn facilites plus c.140M on players = £1.25bn say

= £600M loan + £350M debt + £300M from top 4 and CL TV/bonus money = £1.25bn

and your sheet doth balance
I think you'll find the debt of £350m is from the agreed facility of £600m, not as well as.

And it's also a facility 'up to' £600m, we may not use that much.

Sure, we may have spent £1b in the last 5 years, but that's on everything, not just the stadium!

It will come back one day in the 'meta' (Most Effective Tactic Available) of football formations. And I for one can't wait for it as a fan of lower league football as 'tiki taka' has filtered down through the whole pyramid resulting in players clearly not good enough trying to play that way.
It's frustrating enough to watch Spurs do it when they're in need of a goal before finally resorting to classic long ball when getting desperate in the last 5.

I think the current Spurs squad could make a very interesting 442 but it would take a brave move to go away from filling the centre mid up.

Lloris
Trips Vert Toby Rose
Moura Erik Winks Lamela
Llorente Son
What about sissoko, had a blinding game against Leicester.

Lloris
Trippier Sanchez Vertong Rose
Winks
Sissoko Lamela
Erikson
Son Lorente

Leaves Moura on the bench for impact, Toby, Walker-Peters, Foyth, Aurier, Wanyama if we get ahead and need to close up shop.
Winks, Sissoko, have to cover if Rose/Trippier go up.
I think we need Sanchez for the pace at the back. Verts and Toby don't have that

The more I see of the new-improved Sissoko the more he's starting to remind me of...and I say this most respectfully...Dembele.

He's becoming a beast both at carrying the ball forward and chasing back to get it and once he has the ball it seems like he just powers forward.

Was he tutored by Moussa to start to use his undoubted size and strength to more effective use? He's almost a bully on the pitch now in that respect.

Amazing how quick fans can make judgements on new players then look in all honesty idiots when the player settles...

I don’t think Poch will play Llorente on Wednesday, Moura & Son I'm sure will start.

Sad news about the cheese room isn’t it.

Sissoko gets in my team for Wednesday, that was just a hypothetical XI if 442 suddenly came back over night.
I know little about Dortmund but from what I've seen of Spurs I think this is the available best eleven

Toby Dave Jan

Son Eriksen
Llorente

To be fair he was consistently poor with his touch, for months and months.

He does not need sticking up for, his performances area already getting better game by game and people who are negative are commenting - people just judge far too quick , was the same with fabinho , now a guaranteed starter - same with OX - etc took them a few months to settle.

Same with Sissoko etc

Some players just settle quicker than others

rofl

There is more talent in Dembele's toenail clippings than Sissoko will ever have. But Sissoko is doing a brilliant job for us, he's better than Wanyama is right now (not the Wanyama we DID have though unfortunately).
