The Official 2020/21 Premier League Predictathon Thread
Discussion
I quite like the larger bonus for getting it spot on.
And the end of the season gap was only 4 points so not massive.
One things for certain i'm missing doing my weekly predictions already...
Who's doing the Euro's predictathon... I think someone has a template pen & paper file for scoring

I have a suggestion for next year's scoring.
Rather than an additional 3 points for a correct score you would only get 1 additional point.
With the current scoring system mattyn1 got to the top in week 9 and stayed there until the end of the season.
Have run the spreadsheet with this new scoring and mattyn and jack were trading places all the way through the season.
As this is the players game we would need a majority to agree.
Anyone got any objections or views ?
There are a couple of reasons I like the 3 extra points:Rather than an additional 3 points for a correct score you would only get 1 additional point.

1) It enables us to compare with prior seasons
2) Its an extra dimension to think about and this season at the start proved those who adapted to scores of 3-0 and 3-1 got many more points

On that scoring system who would have won? Rather than an additional 3 points for a correct score you would only get 1 additional point.

One thing I do think needs changing. Getting the right score line is tougher and reaps rewards. If two people are on the same points they should be separated by number of correct score line, then number of correct results, rather than the other way round. Gone A Bit AMG might not agree, Lotus Notes would do I suspect.

However, any change to the rules would require 11 of the 20 participants to vote for it as the very first paragrapgh of the rules specifies:
“These rules can be amended/added to by a simple consensus of more than half the people playing all agreeing to the change - this isn't my game, it belongs to everyone playing – UP TO A POINT. Any rule changes which increase the workload for the Administrator can be vetoed by him. You can ask any following administrator to reconsider should that happen.”
So if you all feel the same away about something please make your case (or support somebody else’s case) by posting on here or, if you don’t want to appear the party-pooper, email me and I’ll post the response for you leaving out your name.
Cheers guys.

But the lead changed 4 or 5 times in the last 20 weeks.
Getting the correct score is frankly just a measure of your luck .
With a total score based on more correct scores you have already had the advantage of the correct scores - to get it again in the event of tied total scores takes you to Man Utd levels of jammy (under Fergie) .
