Second half was astonishingly good.Never known us to have so much possession whilst leading.
Thought Soucek was fantastic all game, and defence looks so much more assured with Fab coming for crosses.

But of course they had a clearly offside goal disallowed so they were massively unlucky rolleyes

Wow, we looked vaguely like a football team tonight. A bit more coaching and after 12 games we might be getting there. hehe

It took almost seven years, but wilson not getting a pen has, for me, finally levelled us up vs his last minute handball that got Bournemouth a 3-3 draw vs WH on Boxing Day 2017.

That was the most David Moyes 45 minutes ever…
Tongue in cheek I'm sure, but I do prefer Jlo's approach to Moyes.
Yes he may not know his first eleven and hindsight after the match is a great thing but had that of been Moyes, straight after the Soucek goal we would have gone completely defensive.
Despite Newcastles pressure in the first half we were still trying to push forward. The second half even more so and made them look very average. I fancied us to be more likely to score a third than Newcastle get one back.

I don't think that result should be underestimated as that's a very tricky place to get a draw, let alone a win.

I just pray it's the start of something COYI!

Shocked me that did, was expecting a 3/4- 0 bashing.

Likewise.
The midfield for me was the most surprising thing, especially second half.Lack of pace isn’t as important there if we don’t give the ball away regularly, and we didn’t. They interchanged positions really well,Soucek was sometimes dropping into centre half and sometimes furthest, forward, and Pac wasn’t stuck on the left all the time.Soler showed he’s a proper player … what a great feeling this morning for once!
