If I wanted to attend the second leg in Frankfurt and am happy to sit in the home end, what's the best likely place to source legitimate tickets? An allocation is unlikely to come up via the official website.

Look at the teams above us, baring the top 5, none of them have a massively better overall squad than us.

Yes we've reduced our wage bill massively but most of that saving was getting rid of deadwood who contributed sweet FA to Tottenham's success anyway. Also despite that reduction, we are still 7th in the wages league and spend massively more on wages than a lot of the teams above us right now. If wages is the be all and end all, we should be 7th, we are 14th. No matter how you try to paint it, this squad isn't so bad that we should be in 14th place. We are underperforming massively below where we should be.

Lets fix the issue we can fix, get a manager in who actually knows what they are doing and get ourselves back in the top half of the table before we start worrying about why we aren't winning trophies.

I don't know, but it might be worth registering with the Eintracht Ticket Portal which I believe is their version of ticket exchange. You might need to also be a member.
It could of course already be too late to register.

Wages are the be all and end all of winning stuff though. If the 9th richest club in the world isn't even going to attempt to compete for trophies, what's the point? It doesn't matter who the manager is if you are just making up the numbers. As the previous 25 years have demonstrated. Sure sack Ange at the end of the season, let Levy again choose the manager (who would want the job, certainly no one good or ambitious) and continue achieving nothing.

If this was a teenage relationship, Levy is still seeing his ex according to his ex.

One of you is talking about winning a trophy and the other about winning a match.

Can't see either happening any time soon tbh.

I wasn't talking about the manager....

Falling for Levy's trick that qualifying for "Europe" is success even though the 5 years before Kane we won zip, zilch, nada and every year during and after. Maybe now is a good time to place a bet on us winning the "Top 6 Trophy" next year. Proportion of wages/turnover has decreased year on year. We're spending less on wages in real terms than all the years when we consistently qualified for Europe. Levy happy for someone else to take the flack currently thouugh.
That’s what happened at Arsenal winning the top 4 trophy each year in Wenger’s latter years. Didn’t win anything but kept the money coming in for the owners and Wenger’s huge salary.
If you charge the most for entry and refreshments you expect to be competing at the highest level. Arsenal have realised that in the last few years.

Levy looking for a chest code to solve the puzzle of how to make a successful team. Hire the best managers in the world. Jose, Conte. Nope that didn't work. Sign a load of kids and hire a manager that plays differently to everyone else. No, that's not working. What could the answer be?

When everyone else have figured out that you need to sign lots of good players and pay them accordingly

Maybe sign some sexy young foreign manager who can enjoy the inevitable bounce next season with no European games. That'll buy him a bit of time until we qualify for Europe again and the wheels fall off. Still, Poch will be available then. With a bit of luck he might have sold the club in those 4 years...

We all know the fundamental problem at Spurs but by that logic, you might as well stop following them if you think it's pointless. I had a great time in the Poch era, despite not winning anything. What about teams smaller than Spurs? Why do their supporters follow them? Yes it's a results based business but realistically, only 3 or 4 teams are going to win a trophy every year.

Under Levy's tenure we've been forced to reset our expectations of what we can reasonably achieve. It sucks but it is what it is. Right now I'd settle for a manager who can coach our players back to form, get us back into the top half of the table, play some good football and not set us up like a deranged 12 year old playing Football Manager so we aren't exposed all over the park.

It’s cheaper to hire a decent manager than 11 top class players.
Wenger towards the end of his tenure had the brass neck to say “It’s scandalous the price of players and the wages they want” This was the highest paid manager in the Premier League. Alright for him coining it in.
We all know all the top players are too expensive and command too much in wages but if you want to be chairman of a football club that charges the most for tickets and refreshments then you’ve got to stump up the money to compete at the highest level imho otherwise buy Barnet or Enfield Town instead.

If ange wins the europa he deserves to stay.

He wont get anywhere in the champions league with levy’s spending restrictions but that is something every spurs manager will have to deal with.

Was just discussing the same elsewhere. Add Sheringham to the mix too.

None of our current forwards are fit to lace their boots. How we've fallen.
