It's nice to be in for so many trophies but I think fatigue is going to kick in and we way struggle to win more this season. Really does feel aside from our first 11 we don't have much quality or depth in the squad. We really need to be efficient in our business this summer, ship out the dead wood and get in new hungry players.
You can see the difference in the newer players who want to be there and bust a gut constantly and those who drift and seem to be there to see out the contracts for the most money.
ETH has done a cracking job this season, just hope he can build it on it well and keep the momentum going into next season with some time to build a proper squad

We’ve not the depth of quality in the squad yet that ETH needs but there’s not a player at United now that’s being allowed to coast and over the coming weeks any deadwood will be evident. Other than the injury prone I’m not seeing deadwood right now I’m seeing not good enough for the levels United want to achieve. Harry Maguire delivers for England but he was out of his depth today. The premier league is the most competitive football in the world right now. We’ve just seen an average recovering United beat Barca, city are on fire and Chelsea have Madrid in the champions league. Not one player isn’t giving everything it’s their talent or lack of it that is now becoming evident; New additions like Antony aren’t delivering yet but I’m not seeing one player not giving their all at the moment,

We will need them all, we have 10 games to play in April Not one player isn’t giving everything it’s their talent or lack of it that is now becoming evident; New additions like Antony aren’t delivering yet but I’m not seeing one player not giving their all at the moment,

I just don’t get what Mitrovic was doing, it wasn’t like a horrible injustice had been done, it was an obvious red.
Fulham fan here, just to give a bit of background for you. The ref (Kavanaugh) has, within the last year, failed to rule out 3 clear handball goals scored against us. One against Preston in the Championship (in which the ball was handled three times in the same indident), two in one game against West Ham earlier this season, and in that West Ham game he also awarded West Ham a penalty after Dawson literally clotheslined our player (Pereira as it happens) in our box. The penalty was scored. If you want to see these incidents, they're all here in a handy 40 second video: https://mobile.twitter.com/FulhamBone2/status/1637...Add to all that the penalty we should have had yesterday for Shaw blatantly shoving Mitrovic over, and there you have it.
Now I don't want to excuse Mitrovic and indeed Silva doing what they did, but it might help explain why they went as mad as they did. That man should never referee a Fulham game again. I now read a quote from the Telegraph today that the ref has written in his report that he "feared for his life" when Mitrovic confronted him. The man is an utter lemon.
Obviously Willian's handball was a clear penalty and that was fair enough, but I question the need for a red card as well.
Sickening to go out like that, though. We had you lot beaten I reckon. For a club which still has never won a major trophy in its history (founded 1879), one starts believing it's never going to happen.
I'll not pretend I want you beat Brighton now, but if it is the tediously inevitable Manc derby in the final, I'll find it hard to favour City.
Oh, and I forgot to mention Bruno Fernandes shoving the linesman against Liverpool and nothing coming of it. Can we all get behind a retrospective red card and lengthy ban for him too? Not directly digging Man U out here (it's your thread, that wouldn't be polite), but it would be nice to see consistency, and it does sometimes feel like glamour clubs have one rule applied, and the rest of us have another.

And Rashford has pulled out! Thats hopefully a little Brucey bonus and he’s rested and it’s not serious.
Well that's excellent news (again, it not serious). There aren't many I can think will be more in need of a good rest, and we certainly can't be risking him. Varane having retired from France means he's also getting his feet up. Bruno will no doubt be playing for Portugal, but aside from that I think it's looking pretty good. Only one I'm worried about is Shaw now.Bannock said:
Lots of good stuff explaining Mitrovic' actions.

Thanks for that, it does help it to make more sense as he seemed properly off the edge. You do have to wonder sometimes if Referees do have agendas when you get patterns, backed up with the insane 'feared for my life' comments in reports.Oh, and I forgot to mention Bruno Fernandes shoving the linesman against Liverpool and nothing coming of it. On Fernandes, it wasn't quite the same. The linesman handled him twice first and Bruno only really shrugged him off. It wasn't aggressive (at least nothing like Mitrovic) and wouldn't have happened at all if the linesman wasn't wanting some sexy Bruno goodness in the first place. So, no, it can't really be handled the same. I am surprised though nothing came of it retrospectively, genuinely, as we have hardly had a good experience with officials of late, despite what many people think.
I think the underlying issue is simply a lot of the referee's and officiating is just crap, to be honest, more than big club bias.

Oh, and P.S. - regarding Mitrovic, that's his first red as a Fulham player, after 5 years. He's not the colossal villain he's made out to be by some fans of other clubs and some elements in the media.

OK, that's fair enough. Wasn't aware of the further context around the Fernandes thing.

I'm not sure if he had any option but a red for Willian under the laws....last man in front of goal, deliberate hand ball etc...
