I'm going back to the steady careful method that served me well a few years back. No wild reactions, no mass points leakages and absolutely no ridiculous transfers.

So this week, just the one change, Welbeck for Cunha.

I ended up keeping Haaland due to injuries / non players elsewhere. Bringing in Mitoma was a good move instead it seems.

I precisely that this week so except big things from Haaland once again. Glad I went Cunha over Pedro so far though…

My transfers don't always work out, but bringing Cunha in for the previous gameweek did work though for me.

Waiting for Haaland to do something is like waiting for Christmas I reckon. I've still got him, but I did notice that none of the top ten players in the world have him though. So he is arguably just a waste of money now I think.

The problem with Haaland is he's still top goalscorer, he's still 3rd highest points in the game - and that's despite being a bit 'off' lately. I decided to hold as Sunday apart there's a good few games coming up that I'd expect to see a turnaround in City's form (and therefore Haalands goalscoring). I decided to switch up midfield as Gordon hasn't been as productive as last season so went for Maddison who's been in good form lately. I'd love Salah and/or Saka but fairly happy with the value Palmer/Mbeumo/Maddison/Smith Rowe/Rogers give as it allowed the spend on Haaland/Watkins up front - neither of which have hit the heights of last season so I could see myself selling 1 or both to go big on higher points scoring midfielders.

Had a good feeling about today... then my vice limped off after 25 mins. Sigh. I hate this game.

Know the feeling... Captained Mbeumo because I thought he had a good chance of a goal and/or assists against Leicester. They score 4... nada, nothing, zilch. Was initially given assist on one which was chalked off FFS. Vardy got me more points! Most of my team plays tomorrow so I'm hoping for a ton of goals all over the place....

Really regretting bringing in Palmer instead of Saka a couple of weeks ago... looking like a 25+ point swing on that one frown

At least my decision to choose Strand Larson over Cunha was finally vindicated today

He's yet to play though... could be a double goal double assist day for him! (I hope)

Nice one clap

50 points here so far, captain Salah, Haaland and Rogers still to play. Feels like I say this every week at the moment but as long as Palmer doesn't haul I should have a good week.

18 points here with six more players to go, thank goodness for Chris Wood who has notched half of my points so far.

What a dismal weekend; 35 points with another Haaland blank, Watkins & Mbeumo doing nothing, appearance points for most of the midfield. Thank god Sanchez & Palmer had good days, Vardy my next highest points scorer! 0 from my defence, Gvardiol didn't even play FFS and my bench defenders were 0's too. Might be wildcard time soon....
