Zirkzee looked great tonight. Rasmus is just so unlucky! I think if he gets one or two he will be away.

Ref went. Card happy. 10 cards giving out
He was dreadful but the cards fell in our favour for once. Just needed one for Dorgu to make my 48 quid.

Well against a bogey team of late I'll certainly take that performance. About time some softer decisions went our way too, home advantage I guess. Not sure the red was right but thems the breaks and we've been on the wrong side plenty of times against these.

Anyway, about time we delivered a show for the fans. Really well played, ZZ is growing so much into this team now he's actually a good watch. Felt really bad for Hojlund, he played so well apart from getting his goal - if he keeps that level up it will come soon for him. Bruno fking Fernandes though. What a time to deliver a performance again. He gets so much stick from pundits but hopefully that shuts the fekkers up.

Heaven looked composed, a great European debut for him. Dorgu a little scrappy do but won a pen and a red card, nearly another pen too. We've needed that kind of energy.

Feels like we've been waiting so long for a result like this. New stadium in the week, owners talking, Liverpool losing on Pens at home and now this. Top week.

Excellent - some fool on here was slagging off the kid Dorgu who shows how much this system needs energy from wing backs - he was good - also saw Howson having a go at Heaven - he’s lost the plot

It’s the youngsters they will build around so they need support - pointless dreaming about signing Bellingham Rice Kane etc - rebuild will be based around young talent

I'm sure people where calling ZZ a pub player a few months ago and we should get rid.

Starting to come into his own now, showing some lovely skills and link up play.

No it would be in the Semi's. Final likely to be Spuds or Lazio, if we make it that far. Lyon and likely then Bilbao before we do. Tough games.

Yeah, hopefully a bit of momentum can build before the Lyon tie. Easier said than done though, we have:

Leicester away
Forest away
City at home

And then Newcastle sandwiched between the two Lyon games. Obviously not arsed about the league games besides anything but building confidence to take into the two legs

Oh that newcastle timing is stty, didn't realise that. They'll be well up to take advantage of it too.

Not a single word of praise or comment about the actual very decent performance pretty much sums you up as a "fan" unfortunately. No doubt you'll be moaning as usual at the next hitch.

Well I did say I was hopeful, and I also said Bruno would be the man to score the goals smile

I wasn't expecting it to be quite as entertaining as that though, really good match.

I think the key difference is their lack of physicality, meaning they couldn't push us into a back 5 like PL teams do.

Despite his occasional lack of quality on the ball 1st half, they couldn't contain Dorgu and his runs down the left which gave us width we simply don't get against PL teams playing Dalot or Mazrouai there.

There was a moment in the 2nd half where firstly Zirkzee outpaced someone, and then Casemiro outpaced someone biglaugh which again, you just don't get in the PL.

I thought Heaven looked really assured as well, interesting that he's ahead of Lindelof in the pecking order. No idea how good he can get or what he'll be like longer term, but if he can even be a squad player for us then that could be a good bit of business.

I think Spurs are the team to be most afraid of in this comp, as they've got our number physically. Looking forward to the next round.

Best performance of the season by far! Thought Dorgu gave us an insight in to how Amorim wants us to play and when we have a similar player on the right it'll be transformational to our style. Arguably Zirkzee's best game too, he's really coming in to his own now and Amorim looks to have found his best position! How good a signing is Heaven for a million quid btw cloud9

Big summer coming up and hopefully more gems to be found!

Nothing weird about Chelsea signing Quenda in the middle of the night on an 8 year contract though...

That did look odd. 7+1 year deal, not joining until 2026, playing for a team that already has lots of wide players already on their books.

Its a shame as reading reports he would have been ideal on the other WB. Fingers crossed the club are trying to find another gem for 50p we can sign.
