Another comprehensive win tonight that was well deserved - some tougher challenges to come in our next few games but if we play well we're more than capable of giving anyone a game in this division.

To be fair Watford helped tonight by coming out and looking to play - when you look at what happened it probably explains why most teams don't try to do that against us!

Good win against a potential banana skin. Thought everyone was superb last night including the away fans who didn't stop singing for 90 minutes.

Two very cool finishes from James and the more you watch the Piroe goal the better it gets - on first watch I thought the ball just bounces off a few players and he gets lucky but its not - his close ball control is superb and a very, very good finish. Great stop from Meslier as well in the first half...

Sheff Utd play twice between now and us playing on Monday but against Boro who were unlucky vs Sunderland the other night and in Luton, a team who on paper should doing far, far better than they are so who knows what'll happen.

Since that Hull game and Meslier having a moment, thats:
- 6 league games
- 6 wins
- 16 goals scored
- 0 goals conceded

And for stats people, I saw this last night:
- our goal difference alone is more than the actual number of goals scored by anyone else in the top 6 (apart from Sunderland who have scored 47 - our goal difference is +47)
- our goal difference is better than Sheff Utd and Sunderlands combined

Next two games are Sunderland at home and Sheff Utd away - absolutely massive and absolutely confident for maximum points.

That was very enjoyable. Especially after that little Cletus they have at RB tried injuring Solomon. Rothwell coming up with the goods and big Pascal delivers. Absolutely loved that.

Possibly a touch fortunate to take all three points tonight but they were lucky to get a draw at their place earlier in the season so maybe across the two games with them it's worked out right!

Makes you wonder how different the game would have been tonight if we'd had Rothwell's set piece delivery from the start; we wasted loads of corners and free kicks but as soon as he started to put them in dangerous places they looked vulnerable. Anyway, we ground it out and it sets us up nicely for the visit to the Blades next Monday - and the gap to third is now 7 points (8 with our goal difference) so a small cushion's starting to develop there....

Their entire back line were doing the same. The LB tried the same with Bogle - even Sky mentioned it was easier to go for the ball than the man. Then the hobbit lying on top of Meslier.

Without Isidor they're as toothless as Burnley - he looks like a decent player though. Temu Bellingham was invisible and supposedly the best player in the world in the Le Fee spent most of the game being tormented by Bogle.

Sets us up perfectly for next Monday...

What the actual...
I mean.. WHAT?!

At half time I was in the pits of depression. We seemed to have forgotten how to play. Own goal and all. Then the real LUFC turned up, started the engine, and somehow, something happened. I'm still not sure what. Oh, and another +2 in the Goal Diff column.

Bloody hell Leeds!

Another massive win tonight and I thought well deserved in the end. They started well and had the best of the first 20 minutes or so but we came back into it after that and were definitely the better team in the second half - once we equalised it felt like there was only one winner.

Hate to tempt fate but I think the only way we don't go up now is if we manage to beat ourselves (again!).

What a watch that was. They don't give up do they. Confidence is gonna be going through the roof.

Still can't make my mind up about Meslier though.

Your guys played really well today - congrats. A top end team performance.

We (Blades) were good in spells. And showed that even you guys will need to step up a gear to avoid the yoyo.

Meslier is one area IMO. He was a bit unfortunate for the goal. Not sure he could help where his right hand was going. But he did not look confident at all during the first half. I reckon if you had a keeper like Cooper, you'd be much more solid.

Well done though. Took proper advantage of really poor defence of 2 corners and that third goal was a ripper (albeit he was given a ton of space).

Good luck for the rest of the season. I don't think you need it now...but you've been the class of this league this season wink

Made the equaliser last night before my eyes gave up, I'm claiming this as some kind of lucky charm.

Might need to go to bed VERY early if WBA are ahead!

I feel the same - he's a good shot stopper but he doesn't command his penalty area and my heart's in my mouth every time a cross comes in. Their goal last night almost summed him up; a really good save to tip the initial header onto the bar but then another of his howlers when he scoops the rebound into his own net - at times he reminds me of a certain Gary Sprake!

In some respects I'm surprised Darlow hasn't been given more opportunities although to be honest he hasn't really covered himself in glory when he's played either. So if we go up I do think it' a position we'll need to consider strengthening in the summer - a reliable goalkeeper makes a big difference and I'm not sure we've got one at the moment.

Felt like Sheff Utd came out the blocks at a million miles an hour, got their deserved goal (but desperately unlucky for Meslier - the lack of defending was more at fault than the fact it bounced off him as he was falling to the floor) but then from 20 minutes on ran out of steam - that clogger from Ipswich looked like he was about to give up and go home after Solomon kept ripping past him. Half time gave them a bit of a rest and the first 10 of the second half they came out the blocks again without really threatening and then Leeds continued to turn the screw.

Considering we bid for him (supposedly) in the summer, from what I've seen of Hamer across the two games, I'm glad we didn't sign him. What an uninterested lump he seems. Think it was Firpo who left him standing 15ft away for his equaliser...

Anyway, we won! Hard to single out anyone as they all played well, from Gruev's headed goal line clearance to Piroe's goal to Willy's shot that forced the corner for Tanaka to score... Just need to keep winning games - home vs WBA on Saturday lunchtime next up.

I think last night's goal is a bit harsh on him.

It was a great first save, and by rights Campbell should have had that straight in the net. Meslier should have had no chance.

He was falling and couldn't do much with that trailing arm.

Keepers do need defenders to help at times (I'm soft as my eldest's a keeper smile).

The bigger issue is that he simply didn't look confident at all for most of the first half. I was shouting at our lads to keep pushing as there were more mistakes in Meslier. Sadly it wasn't to be. But when a keeper's wobbly, it infects the defence too (and vice versa to be fair).

Farke seems to have your guys primed for attacking from the left and right backs. And it was impressive most of the time last night. But there were times when we were able to counter over the top and they were left flat footed. I don't think you'll be able to play that way in the Prem though without being dangerously exposed. Can Farke modify how he sets up?
