11 blokes against 11 blokes. Scousers v Geordies (well ish
)
If we can only keep our passing accurate rather than giving the ball away like last night
If we can slow the game down, then break, like Liverpool do with the likes of Salah
Hold tight at the back, don't let them break us down.
Control the midfield, Tonali, Bruno & Joelinton are as solid as a rock.
I'm a supporter, we've every chance.
Howay the lads.

Pretty poor game but the points was all that mattered. West Ham were poor. We were the better team but that said, they actually created the more dangerous chances. We seemed to constantly get to the left side of the final third but never seemed to cross the ball in. We tried to pass it around but nothing was accurate or fast enough to get break them down. I also think that Dubravka offers us more in goal. Pope is superb at making saves but it's a running joke when he receives the ball at feet and is pressured. A good result and keeps us in the mix for champions league.
We're going to get smashed on Sunday though :-(

Yeah I'd have preferred them to win, both for possibly resting folks for Sunday but also to help keep English teams up for CL places next year.
Now they know they have the league in the bag and don't have to worry about CL positions so think they'll be gunning for the cup properly on Sunday

Maybe not much new here but some fascinating insights into his work ethic

Lots of stories of it being a new stadium of 65000.
Not sure that’s enough? With OT up to 100k, you’d imagine others would be looking to expand again.
So do we not need to get a jump ahead, or at least be in a position to do so reasonably easily?
Should be 70k I think, I read somewhere Eales has pushed back against that in case there's empty seats in the smaller fixtures but honestly I think they're selling themselves slightly short there, but then I guess they will have data that helps them reach the correct conclusion. Time will tell. Not sure that’s enough? With OT up to 100k, you’d imagine others would be looking to expand again.

I still don't think it's a given it'll go ahead there, there was a big push back in the 90s against a similar development from SJH and it was blocked just before they built the milburn / Leazes extension. Already on Reddit on the R/Newcastleupontyne sub there's a thread with lots of people kicking off about it.

Remember all of that. Can't see it going ahead unless someone offers someone on the council a BIG bribe.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
