Advice on £3k petrol outback please

Hi want to buy a cheapish outback for towing, snow duties and a bit of light off road.

Any views on which model? How about the H6?

The Outback is a perfect winter car IMO. The flat-6 engine is tough but thirsty but I would say it's just about the perfect compromise car.
